    Is This Legit? Enabling Lua

So I was on the forums for NoAddiction, and someone replied to my thread saying he had a solution to my problems.

    "LuaCheckProtect : 0x006E4500
A little patch here will allow you to unlock the protected lua functions. ^^
it can probably solve your problem."

Me being a noob had no idea what to do with that, so he sent me a link to a program he apparently made with Trainer Maker Kit.

The .zip he linked me to only contained an .exe file. So I am a bit skeptical about the legitimacy of this hack.

I guess the best thing to do would be to scan it with NOD32, and then test it out on a trial account, but can someone else confirm for me that this is legit?

I'll link it here, but plz use this at your own risk. I am not intentionally trying to spread a keylogger or virus or anything:

Check it with virustotal.com, then try and decompile it. Might be a keylogger.

Well, a number of the virus checks on virustotal came back with red flags. Surprisingly though NOD32 came back with nothing. NOD32 has always been a reliable antivirus. I mainly use NOD32 because it doesn't detect some of the bots I use as malware like other antiviruses do.

So this could be a case of false positives.

Dunno, I might give it a shot. Might try it on a junk computer. Will take me a while to set it up though. Since WoW is not installed on it.

I also asked him to send me the source code so that I could compile it myself. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

    He sent me this:

    ON button : Poke 006E4610 B8 01 00 00 00 C3 90 90 90 90
    OFF button : Poke 006E4610 55 8B EC 83 3D 60 EC 35 01 00

Which is apparently the source for Trainer Maker.

The only problem is Trainer Maker doesn't work in 64-bit windows.

I am assuming the .exe he sent me won't work either.

well i tried it out on a trial account - on a junk pc - and it doesn't seem to work.

It has two buttons On/Off and that's it.

I pressed on and tried to use this script:

    Code:
    /script CastSpellByName("Sinister Strike");
    and got this error:

A macro script has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI.

So yeah, maybe it has something to do with having a different version of WoW or using a differen patch. Not sure.

Okay... so apparently he did give me a version from an older patch. The new one he sent me actually does work.

The only problem is I still get that error message when I am unable to take an action. Like if I am out of range for Sinister Strike or have no target. So that is kind of annoying. Anyone know how to disable that error message?
