WG mark turn ins

Something that I'm wondering out loud is why does it require 9 wg marks to get a wintergrasp commendation which gives you 2k honor(which on wowhead.com is posted as requiring 30 stone keeper shards) when it only requires 15 marks to get a piece of pvp gear? Does that not add up to other people? It requires 30-50k honor for a piece of hateful which if you were to farm the honor using only wg marks, would take 135-225 marks. Do you think blizzard is planning on either lowering the mark requirement or upping the honor reward?

Well, I think the purpose of the commendations is to give avid pvpers something to spend their marks one once they have already purchased the gear they need and are getting close to the mark cap again. It was implemented just so that marks are not being wasted and clogging people's mailboxes every time they do a BG.
