I did this using a different style actually.
basically just download the 3D drivers off of
The World's First 3D Monitors Designed for Gamers - iZ3D
and install the 1.08 driver.
Now once you have it installed it will give you a monitor to look at and change the setting. I have reformatted my PC since the last time I installed the driver, but with little to no tweaking you can set it up to work as 3D for a basic monitor no need to buy special cables or anything.
If you get it on the right settings it will look like the ghetto 3D movies where there are like 2-3 different color schemes at one time on the screen. If you have 3D glasses on it will be in 3D no issue! I played wow and CoD 4 when I was doing this. Playing WoW like this was sorta a waste other than looking at stuff for 20 min and seeing trees fly past you and your character actually have depth next to the other players. It gives you a headache really quick and isn't worth it really. Now with CoD4 is was amazing. I played campaign and omg I was blown away.
Sorry I don't remember exactly what to do. If people are interested just PM me I could just redownload the driver again. it can just mess with a few games after awhile becaue you don't have the correct cord for a 3D monitor.
Sorry if I am hyjacking this page XD not purposely doing it
(also, it was pretty funny I was looking for 3D glasses to do this and I went to wal-mart after I had installed everything and was let down because I couldn't find 3D glasses. Well right in the door on a stand was the new Hannah Montana 3D movie (god she needs to die srsly) but they had like a massive bin of free 3D glasses It made me rofl so hard but I took like 15 pair. Thats how I got my 3D glasses if someone tried and couldn't find any

never know what wal-mart has)
