    Enti's Quenched Sword

1.What is your take on this blade?

    2. Do you believe it is truly bugged or was meant to be a hidden item that dropped from a level 73 on purpose?

    3. How many people do you think vendor'd this sword because they thought it was crap before everyone knew that it owned?

    4. How do you think the first person found out about it?

    5. Do you think someone sent it to his bank char and equipped it just for fun and found out, or do you think that he/she believed that the sword had to be special in some way?

Thanks if you did this quick survey, I am doing it for my guild as a report

Please give your twocents if you seem sincere in your answer I might even +Rep

Also, It seems to me that this sword is a reference to an old Everquest item called Inte's Sword of Death.

The sword was a drop off a mob (Inte Akera) that was thought to be unkillable. During the old days of EQ, in order for a weapon to appear on a mob or NPC, they had to be holding the item which had the desired weapon graphic.

The guild Fires of Heavens killed the mob and received the sword which was equipped by the paladin Kreugen. Kreugen and Furor (the leader of the guild) dueled after Kreugen looted the weapon, and Furor was defeated in seconds due to the overpowered stats on the weapon. (The Paladin "epic" weapon which was the best paladin weapon in the game at the time can be found here for comparison.

Shortly after (2 days or so) the item was nerfed by EQ devs and also made "No Rent" (same as a summoned item, disappears after logging out).

The sword being "quenched" likely refers to the fact that the original EQ sword was nerfed. This theory is further supported by the fact that the original bearer of the weapon was named Kreugen and the NPC that drops the item is named Kreug.

Hope this clears things up for everyone. Oh and Happy New Year.

Well, I beleave its just a sad little bug, and will be 'fixed' on the next patch.

I mean, they wouldn't really keep this sword around the way it is for Twinks would they?

It has hidden stats. It really has a DPS of 20ish, and a top end damage of about 200.

And you can use it at level 1

Give credits next time you copy and paste.

    As for your survey....

    1. I think Blizzard made a mistake and is ivestigating the best way to handle the "deflowering" of this weapon.

    2. Probaly was a level 35 grey item, they changed it to level 1 and changed the interface stats but not the actual coding (If that makes any sense, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

    3. 1000's

    4. Probaly sent it to a bank to sell. just equipped it randomly and fought someone and says "OMGLOL"

    5. Definetly an accident, or maybe someone saw the EQ refernce and says "meh ill keep it".

I feel really guilty by number 5 there. Ran around onehitting mobs, without knowing why. Was fun tho, and that's the way that I found out.
