Cross-Acount character transfers

So all these times, I've seen people trading characters and whatnot and I never really got it.
Don't you have to have the same last name to transfer characters across accounts? I'm pretty sure you do, are there ways to get around this, or what?

Umm, If your trading the account then you just trade info etc. Most legit people will transfer the character onto another account for you. A

No, I mean like, if I want to just trade one character, because I wanna keep my other characters, and I want to transfer it from the other person's account to my account.

What alot of people do is make a new account and transfer it there then trade. I have seen somewhere on these forums that if you call and say your name changed, due to marriage, that Blizz will change it for you.... Not sure how easy it is though

Unless the last names are the same you cannot transfer between accounts.
