Hello, If I do a Character Transfer to my second account, And the first one get banned. Will my second account get banned then?

And do i need Firstname and lastname to match if i wanna do a character transfer? Only my lastname is the same, so yeah....

The second could be banned too. I think it depends on that you did with the first. It's easy for Blizzard to look up your second account if some crucial datas match.

If you want to transfer characters the lastnames on both accounts have to match. No way around it (as far as i know...)

Ok, i was thinking of using my first account to bot up Characters to 60, and then use character transfer to get them to my second account.

So, If i transfer a botted character from my first account to my second account, and they ban my first account, will my second account be banned too?

As I said, it is possible but improbable that your second account will get banned too. They're not linked in any way.

Well, quite obviously, when your first account is banned after you transferred it to your second one, they will know it is that same character and most likely sanction the second one as well. If it was this easy to avoid being banned, then everyone would be doing it.

Everyone does do it lol each account as blizzard has stated each new account has a clean slate so if one of your accounts gets banned if you make a new one or transfer a char to the new one there not going to ban it because it has not done anything wrong.

There have been plenty of instances in the past of Blizzard banning all accounts with the same billing information. I myself was victim of that happening back in June 07 during a innerspace banwave (used Innerspace on one account, never used it on my 'main' account, but both got banned).

They would not ban the account with same billing info unless it was a stolen card or invalid payment....

I had 4 accounts banned in May 20th banwave.

And I suppose there's no way to "semi-hide" your transferred botted character by changing the name + Making exactly the same character again on the original account?

I've used a PL service to level a druid to 70, but I suspect that they used a bot (char is non-stop online etc, pretty fishy..)

Now, my plan was to transfer this druid to my main account, change the name and server and just play with it on my 100% legit normal account.


But that would just get both my accounts banned for botting then? Even if I never used a bot with my "good" account?

IP tracking would show both accounts on the same IP, and therefore associated. Sucks, but in the terms of use or whatever, you allow Blizzard to cancel your subscription and close your account at any time, and without reason.

Well, something that may play in my advance is that I recently moved to Japan (and notified blizz of it, so no probs there). So my "botted" account and my "real" account have nothing in common with each other except for my name.

But, so they ban the all the accounts of the owner in stead of just the account in question?

Would it help if I would for instance contact billing and ask them to delete the account I used for botting completely? (just give them some fake reason, that's not important). Or if that's not possible, just dumb the account or smth?


Or am I just screwed? xD
