Can he file a police report?

Hey Guys, i havn't been on for a while, i just sold my wow acc and 5 days later he said i scammed him and the acc has been retrieved or banner or something.. He is threatening me with filing a police report for scamming him.. he sais he has a lawyer.

im from sweden (i dont know if it differs by country) but if he files a police report for me scamming him can it get through? can i get in trouble for this? he wants his money back but i dont know.. i dont really wanna give his money back because i spent it but i dont want to get in trouble either so any answers are GREATLY appreciated! luv <3

Well he did something ulegal aswell by doing account trading/selling.

Its like if two guys robs a bank, and one of them take all the money, the other guy cant sue him for stealing from him?

Right, because selling an account is the same thing as robbing a bank.

Your anology would better be told as:

Someone is trespassing on someone's property, so the owner shoots and kills the person.

True, trespassing is illegal, but the action done in response to it carries far more weight than the original action.

Blizzard does not support account buying, selling, trading, gifting, or sharing. This means they cannot help you if you get scammed. It's not their problem.

However, civil courts may see it differently, and have, as far as I know, once ruled in favor of a defendant who was scammed by someone during an account deal.

Basically, "scamming" an account is not a crime. However, since accounts can be proven to be worth money, scaling directly on the amount of time spent into the account, and considering that time=money in this case, the person can be found responsible for a loss of money.

They obviously won't go to jail. Civil courts only deal with non-felonies. However, you can possibly be sued and the judge can also possibly find in favor of the defendant, and you may have to pay him some money. Probably not very much though.

Also, as Verye said, Blizzard does not support Account Buying (in his case), he commited a "Crime" (its not a crime) against Blizzards Terms of Use.

However, account recalling (if thats how you scammed him) is nearly the same as stealing a DVD of a shop, because you are taking something THEY have paid money for.

So its hard to tell

I did not scam him, I sold the account to him and 5 days later he says that the account has been banned and then he said the email was changed and that i scammed him :S well i did not scam him but now he want me to pay him back or he'll call the police. I was not the orginal owned of the account but i had the account for several months.

so can i get in trouble or not?
do you guys think i should pay him back?

Dude stop worrying about it you legitly sold himd the account, it got banned. shit happens your not going to get in trouble. So many people have my adress/phone number and have threaten me that it is actually funny now whenever someone tries to scare me. I suggest not selling wow accounts if shit like this is going to make you scared.

2. address?
3. number?

if yes to any of those... u may have a stalker but thats all
