I want to make weapons on my server that use custom models but not replace old weapon models. So what im aiming for is to create a model id for the m2 files through DBC editing, clientside and serverside. I need to know wich DBCs hold this information so i can edit them and achieve this.
Currently i am using winMPQ to extract the DBC files from the client, and i use DBCutil to convert them to CSV format, i then edit the CSVs with CSVed. Ive already tried this with itemdisplayinfo.dbc, i copied a row from the 1h sword "Muramasa" and renamed the columns correctly with model and texture path, put the DBC back into the MPQ and mangos server core files. I then replaced the model id for "Muramasa" with the new one i created. but i get an error like this when i start mangosd.exe,
Item <Entry: 34214> Not correct 80000 display id, must be 48079 <using it>.
do i need to edit another DBC? am i using a display id number that is too high?
