If I get a server repack

I hope this is the right forum if not please don't yell.

My friends and I have been playing WoW on and off for a while. The problem is most of them are RL friends and the last raid guild I was in was back in MC days.

The rest of my friends are the same and some have never even been in MC. Currently we quest and PVP and do instance runs but don't really raid due to the size of our guild.

Here is the question and I have done searches so please don't yell...

I am wanting to get a server going for my friends and I to just do some endgame stuff that we otherwise would never see... I don't need custom areas or vendors etc.. but I really don't care if they are there.

What do I need? I know I can get repacks doing but can I just use the mangos or ascent servers and GM myself and go kill Illidan or run through MC with my friends or do I need a funserver repack.


Again, I know you guys get questions like this probably daily and I apologize but I ran some searches and I looked at all the repacks.

I would reccomend looking at my threads ..

I have made some repacks .... completely blizzlike.

Or you could just follow guides on how to compile arcemu,set it up,ect.

Id advise you to check the WoW emulation section > Releases .

1 more question... how do we get in ony and mc and stuff like that w/o atunement?
