Is it safe to buy wow gold?

I was wondering if it still safe to buy gold?, i was going to buy about 5000 from randyrun (first time i have ever bought gold). Will i get banned if i got caught or would i have got a warning? i have had no voilations on my account. anyone help?

my account was hacked and the gold and items was sold,

like heyes said, if you buy from people like mmokings you should be okay. also, have them send the gold to a level 1, and launder the gold through the ah by
a. making an auction on your main for however much gold you bought
b. buying the gold from your level one

then delete the level 1, delete cache folder, then recreate the character excatly the way it was and delete again


also splitting the ammount of each auction into about 4 or 5 items (ie.. 1k gold for this.. 1k gold for that) helps avoid bannhammerz

I bought 1k from mmokings some weeks ago and the first mail of 500g got caught by blizz. Then they just sent me a whole 1k again.
You won't get banned, otherwise there wouldn't be a million industry of virtual goods.

doesn't matter which company you buy from
you always have a chance of getting ban, that just depends on your luck
let say if a farmer used a bad account (stolen and/or known trader) and traded the gold to yours
and it just happened to get caught then.. =/

i usually buy gold from guildmates
a little safer~ xD
