theres an addon called "LessThanThree" it can let you do this the MInimap icon is a <3 so thats why its called "Less than three"

Thanks, but I want ASCII letters to work without that add-on while played AND when creating a new character.

As I said, fire up another multiplayer game. As in, a game that isn't WoW. Like, Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Diablo...anything. Then, try and do a high ASCII character in that other game, and tell me if people can see it.

I tryed quake 3 and copy-pasted the letter û, but it turned out as a question mark.

Nevermind, problem solved, everything works now.
The thing was, in the regional settings, languages tab, suplemental language support wasn't installed, now I installed it and everything is ok.
