Fun Ways To Wipe Raids and Get Others Killed

Sometimes the only thing to do is just say "Screw it all" and fling yourself into the fires of Iron Forge and hope that someone has you on autofollow.

I've started this post because some friends and I have tried to find the easiest and most fun and staisfying ways to get people killed and (hopefully) live to tell about it.

I'm sure this is old to everyone but there is a macro one can make to artificially induce lag to your system. What this does is, you click it while telling your character to move in a certain direction- and your screen freezes up. Keep clicking for a while (2 or 3 seconds). After releasing your system catches up with the server and resets your character position to the last place you were before pressing the macro.

What's it good for?

Well if you are in a high level raid in front of the boss and you start to move forward and press this macro, a "ghost" image of your character runs forward and if someone has you on autofollow they will automatically follow this "ghost" into the maws of the boss. Or, more often than not, when the tanks and priest see you running haphazardly towards this giant creature, they run in to do battle. Then suddenly your charcter disappears and reappears in your original position and they pause in confusion- long enough to be pwnd by the aggroed boss.

This works on PVP too. As a rogue I need to get behind my opponent. Having someone chase me is bad, especially a tank. So I hit the macro and they believe they are still chasing me then bam I'm behind them about 30 yards (distance depends on length of time pressing the macro) and can either turn and run or stealth and pwn them.

This does not work for NPCs or MOBs who, being in sync with the server, attack your real position. However during the run of the macro, it may appear that they are fighting thin air to your comrades- for every real player will see your avatar as moving in whatever direction you pressed.

The macro is:

/sit
/stand
/sit
/stand

^ Just repeat that til you fill up the macro box. Now to run it, put it on a hotbar and WHILE holding in a direction for movement, hit the macro like 3 or 4 times (i usually do it like 20 times because you click it real fast).
