as an ice mage I would say use your wand and frost nova to plant the mob in place so you can get away and hit it again with your wand to keep aggro.

But then again why the hell are you kiting as a Mage, leave it to the professionals...Hunters

id just frost nova them in place then hit them with ice bolt and blinkforward frostbolt again and repeat until said target is dead.

I forgot about blink. That would be a good idea as well. But Icebolt might be too long of a cast unless it has a DoT effect like the Fireball spell.

Talented lvl1 Frostbolt takes 1,0 seconds to cast. Just cast it, turn around, run a few steps und repeat. Wait till Frostbite procs/frost nova is off cooldown to get at max range and cast a max lvl frostbolt. If the Mob comes too close, just blink.

If you want to get a deeper look into it, i suggest the Faxmonkey videos: Stupid Mage Tricks, Stupider Mage Tricks and Even Stupider Mage Tricks

Oh, i was not clear, im not trying to kill a mob, im trying to "relocate" one.

    Im moving a <servent of sevine> : http://www.thottbot.com/?m=361417

    to the keep's keep.

long story short, im going to get him to the keep, then losse agro ( the servents dont die unless you use a special stone ) So i can go afk and weopen skill level.
