    Leveling =[

This game is completely and utterly making me frustrated. I have had it since June 2006. As of right now my highest character is 34 (ahaha). What I would like you guys to do is link me to a guide that isn't boring. Brian Kopps had me sleeping around level 14 on a night elf. Tried the other races..... same thing only a little earlier. So right now I sit with a 34 draenei shaman bored as hell and I don't know where to go. So please help a brother out!

    Thanks in Advance,
    Turkeyham

    Re: Leveling =[

If you think the game is boring stop playing.

That being said, quit rolling new characters. If you have had the game for a year and a half and you are level 34 on one cahracter you should just quit anyway or learn to enjoy the game without being high level.

You sound like the way I used to MUD. Roll a billion characters that are fun for a minute but cant get through the mid level wall with them.

If you were to actually just bite the bullet and level ANYTHING to 60+ you would find a whole other world within WoW that you likely dont even know exists.

    Re: Leveling =[

Thats the problem, there is no way yet I could level to at least 40. I mean if I got 40 and could ride around on my elephant all day I would feel some what accomplished, and maybe stop advertising on my trade channel "WTB 8-12 year old Chinese boy, all he needs to do is sit at my desk. 5g.". No one seems to take kindly to that on my server. Another thing, you said try to learn to enjoy the game at lower levels. If you think chasing a gnome in a rocket car hour on end is enjoyable more power to ya, but I don't. The only thing I have a problem with leveling is finding places to actually go and level. The game is fun, don't get me wrong but dancing naked and raking in over 72g is a little on the dull side. So if you don't have anything to bring to the topic, just don't post. I never asked people if I should quit. Only to guide me in the right direction so I wouldn't have to.

PS. All of my characters before this are now in the trash. Nothing to keep me away except my twink hunter which hasn't been played on in about 4 weeks.

    Re: Leveling =[

If you've played the game that long he should be higher level. Okay? 34 is nothing. This game is about PvP and leveling. Nothing else. If you can't play one character then go powerlevel your character. Bringing it here and asking for leveling advice is no exception. No matter which way you level, you're going to be bored. I would advice just to quit. If you don't find the game enjoyable just don't play it. It makes no sense to sit and play a game that you dread playing.

    Re: Leveling =[

meh...ive had WoW for sooooo long, and ive never had a 60. why? mainly because i took HUGE breaks from the game. see, this helps because it allows you to take time from the frustration of leveling, and it renews your desire to play. also, i enjoy the other aspects of the game. PvP, exploring, making money talking to people or what ever. if you cant enjoy the finer aspects of the game, you wont enjoy the game, at least i think so. my advice to you is this: figure out a plan of where you want to quest, and just grind the hell out of your shammy. ive had to force myself to do this many a time, and i never regret it. get your shammy to 39, play some BGs for a little, take some time off from grinding. then get back into grinding. there is no way to level without working, you just gotta do it. also, stay with one character, dont roll a bunch of others. maybe even get a friend to quest with you, so its not all so boring. good luck

    Re: Leveling =[

I said I like it, I only don't like being level 34 all the time because I can't find good places to quest or grind. I thought the community would be a little nicer and maybe link me to some guides or something. Guess not, I guess people aren't as nice as they use to be.

Then you weren't following brian's guide that well. Leveling, for alot of people, isn't the funnest thing in the world. It's the rewards you get from it that are. This applies to basicly everything.

I think he meant that he got bored looking at kopps plain text that all runs together all the way through the guide. Oh, and i didnt know it was possible to play for 8 monthes and only have a 34... i think i lvled 34 in less than a month.

Lol, it took me a while too, but not 8 months :P

I played my first char entertained about everything. I would wander off to some random area so much xD.

But yeah, Brian's guide isn't really advertised as 'THE FUNNEST THING EVER11!!!!1!" it's just "A helpful guide to help you level."

If you want to use it, expect to level slightly faster.
If you don't, continue doing whatever you're doing, atleast you're not level 8 or something after those 8 months

    Re: Leveling =[

just gotta stick with it, i find instances kinda fun, but i just wanna get out when i'm a) done the quest or b) tired of noobs aggro'ing.

just try out different places (STV wont make you wanna play anymore seeing as you can be there from 29-54).

    Re: Leveling =[

yea, instances are good to run. its good XP and relatively easy, if you have a decent group and you dont wipe alot in addition to that, you get good gear, which is always a nice morale booster. yea STV can kinda suck, especially if youre on a PVP server lol i dont even know what instances you can run at 34, never really ran them around that lvl lol. i guess RFK is good. too low for ulda, not sure what other instances are out there :P

    Re: Leveling =[

Get your ass to Stranglethorn vale. Then once you hit 36-37, if you get bored go to Swamp of Sorrows, also hit up Arathi Highliands. And at 37 there is some good ogres to grind thorughout most of the Alterac Mountains. I have played for a month and I have a 41 Dwarf Hunter. It is fun dude. and if you are that bored go exploring. But in higher lvl areas you will aggro so bad you will crush your computer.

    Re: Leveling =[

I really wouldn't suggest 'grinding' to level, unless of course you want to be more bored with the game :P

Grinding is good if you have fun with it and you can make fun out of it, i wouldn't really suggest it too much though ^^
