Why Kil'jaeden could be stronger than the lich king

A lot of people say The Lich King is more strong and powerful than Kil'jaeden. I know that the The Lich King is going to be harder to fight, but when you "kill" Kil'jaeden, I don't think your actually killing him, but just pushing him back into the sunwell. If this is true, Kil'jaeden would be even harder to beat and possibly stronger than The Lich King. I'm not positive but this is just a guess.

Its been known you just push him back through the portal ever since people saw his 'death' animation in model viewer being him just getting pushed back through the Sunwell. He is stronger than the Lich King.

    I disagree.

    Scourge > Burning Legion imo.

This has been an excuse frequently used by Blizzard for a long time.
They open up for us to kill lore giants by saying they're in a weakened state.
Another example of this is the old god C'thun, you only fight half-summoned parts of him.
This also opens up for them using the boss again, in a later expansion. (Although unlikely you never know)
It's also frequently used in lore, as with Aegwynn beating a small portion of Sargeras soul (who HELD BACK).

Sounds like something blizzard would actually do (the fighting weakend boss to be able to bring them back later), as it is really easy to later say that he was just weakend but now you are fighting the real deal.

    Still, Arthas commands the undead.

    He is a death knight.

It is hard to kill they who have mastered the art of death.

From what I heard Arthas was created by Kil'jaeden. What this could mean is Kil'jaeden knows the ways of Death Knights since he most likely had to know what he was creating before he created it. I could be wrong though.

I'm pretty sure Gul'dan made the first Death Knights...

But ya, I think Kil'jaeden made Arthas the Lich King.

Anyway, Scourge are better than Burning Legion. o.o

As said above, you're only fighting a weakened version of Kil'jaeden.

    Sargeras > Archimonde, Kil'jaeden > Arthas > Illidan

That's as far as lore goes, anyway. In terms of gameplay, they'll do whatever they want to make the game fun and bugger the lore. But yes, using half-summoned, weakened versions of powerful beings (Hakkar, C'thun, etc.) is a common Blizzard strategy to allow mortal to fight gods and win. Makes sense.

Nope almost Jeesk it's Sargeras, Kil'jaeden, Archimonde, (Arthas)Lich King, Illidan

Read on wowwiki and search for Kil'jaeden.

    And about the Lich King:
The Lich King was an entity created by Kil'jaeden the Deceiver from the spirit of the orcish shaman Ner'zhul. Initially trapped within the Frozen Throne, the Lich King eventually merged with the human Arthas Menethil. He is responsible for the creation of the Scourge and rules over the Scourge telepathically from his throne atop the Icecrown Glacier.

Arthas first got this sword Frostmourne which corrupted him and this sword lead him to the Frozen throne where he broke the ice where the lich kings armor and spirit were kept in. Then Ner'zhul (Lich King) and Arthas became one.

imo Demons > Undead. Well... the Burning Legion pretty much created the Scourge.
About the KJ vs. Arthas thing Kil'jaeden did create the Lich King but since then Ner'zhul joined with Arthas, increasing his power (maybe), and over time he has been gathering strength. So either of them could be stronger than the other. =D

Theres a reason Kil'Jaden wanted Ner'zhul dead and asked Illidan to do it. He could no longer control him because he had grown to powerful. Once encased in the Frozen Throne, his powers expanded exponentially, and when he and Arthas fused, he became the most powerful being on Azeroth. Currently, he IS stronger than Kil'jaden because for one, Kil'Jaden isn't all that powerful anyways, Archimonde was the brute force while Kil'jaden is the brains.

Didn't know Kil'jaeden thought Ner'zhul was too powerful. Well that pretty much decides who's more powerful :P
And Kil'jaeden is more powerful than Archimonde. Yes Archimonde is more physically powerful but Kil'jaeden is overall more powerful with magic and whatnot. Plus if Archimonde was more powerful why is he a weaker raid boss? Although game mechanics =/= lore but still. :P

You never kill Archimonde, you just hold him off til Malfurion calls for the Wisps to blow him up.
