mannaroth Gold dupe

This is something I have been meaning to ask about for some time. The first week after the burning crusade patch a couple months ago there was a gold dupe on Mannaroth US.

I read about it on the forums so I figured I would create an char on their server and check it out. What I found was several level 1 alts running around just handing out thousands of gold to anyone. It ruined the economy. The AH had no epics for sale except for nexus crystals that were selling anywhere from 10k to 100k.

Blizz had to reroll the server back to the previous Tuesday to stabalize the server.

Does anyone know how this dupe was done? I have been searching since it happened around the net and I have yet to find out what really happened.

It was a really bad bug, in which if you just transferred x gold amount to player x, and then relogged on, both you and player x would have x gold, each. It allowed you to exponentially dupe your gold in ever increasing amounts, it was patched fairly quickly but alot of gold was duped.
