Yeah I heard about this, sucks that it is the alliance perspective though, blood elves and orcs would be the best main characters for a movie, they just seem... right.

i read that its going to take place 1 year before world of warcraft.
don't expect much thou, since all fantasy movies made these days are very bad.
As we know blizzard they also don't want to stick with the lore for some reason.

lol idk, in the movie, the guy stated something about we know blizz fans want us to stick to lore and still make it a great movie , but it would be to hard do that in a 2.5 hr movie and still have a kick ass story line.

They have already released some of the concept art for Teldrassil. Still in the script stage...which is MONTHS from production depending on how close to the end of the script they are. I mean, crap, they don't even have a director yet.

The GREAT thing about the movie is that it will be shot in the vein of 300, using live actors against computer backgrounds. Legendary Pictures (Batman Begins, 300) have a set a high bar for everything that they do and will not drop the ball for anything on Earth. I wouldn't plan for a 2009 release, as that was announced prior to the writer's strike, but then again, things happen.

My friend Ruari was on the short-list of directors for both Warcraft and the Akira live action flick, but after a convo with me about Warcraft, decided it wasn't his thing. He has since accepted the Akira job, which I think is going to completely kick ass.

I'll keep you guys up to date if I hear anything, but WB is good at keeping secrets until they're ready to say something.

lol yea i know, i knew about this since blizzcon came out, thoght that was the most recent update, until after I had submitted it and found it out it was from august 2007 haha
