    Ok, If you have ANYONE you want to ban, You can do it with little to no information.

    This is all you need to know.

    1. Account name
    2. account owners name.
    3. Secret Q and A <--- (not needed, But helpful)

    Step One.
    Call blizzard Billing and Account services (1-800-59-Blizzard)
    - I would suggest having these thing written down in front of you.
    1. The number your calling from.
    2. The owners First AND last name (The one registered to the account)
    3. Why your calling.

    They will ask you, "What can I help you with today (Owners name)

    Heres what you say.

    Well, I was trading my account on Markeedragon.com.
    I got scammed and now my account password and email is changed and I forgot my secret Q and A!!! (Unless you know it hold onto it until they ask for it)

    They will say, Ok well heres an email with the password and we will switch it to your email.

    Thats the basic conversation that will happen.

    They will then lock the account (Could be a day or so)

    In order for the jerk to unlock it, They have to send in there BC or an ID containing the name registered to the account, DoB ETC.

    Takes weeks, even months for first timers to get it faxed in.
    Takes years for stubborn people like me.

    He got my mage locked so I got his rogue locked, Then got my mage unlocked by going to blizz HQ.

    It takes all of 10 minutes to get the proper paperwork and fax it in, unless they also request a notary.

    Unless the person is not the OO, then this is utterly pointless.

    What's so funny is that you failed to mention that if you know the account name, account owner's name, and SQA, you can recall the damn account. Forget LOCKING the account, you get to OWN the account if you just say you can't access the account's current email and you need it changed.

    Your total fail because, you haven't realized that alot of the time.
    1. People don't have there birth Certificates
    2. Getting a notary is a pain/can cost money.
    3. It can cause confusion (Mostly to first timers)
    4. If you say the account is yours, and its under a different email, They lookup IP history and lock it. (You cant keep it).
    5. If you decide to try and keep it, They can simply do the same thing right back to you.

    What most people have not realized is that, Blizzard isn't stupid AT ALL.
    Almost anything can trigger a lock, but this is the most effective way.

    I am under a notary and a 75% warning.. I don't care about your Sig. You have not a clue.. I worked as a Billing and Support services team representative for a year and a half.. Gtfo of my thread "WoW Lawyer" Thanx.

    You worked as a Billing representative for Blizzard? I don't believe that for a second.

    2. When you lock an account, they do not always request a notary. In fact, most of the time they don't.
    3. Sure it can cause confusion, but having your account stolen from you would cause confusion too, would it not?
    4. That's one of the biggest ****ing loads of bullshit I've ever heard in my entire life. They don't check IPs like that. If you say you no longer have access to the email, they request for the first name, last name, they ask you your secret question, and if you answer correctly, then they will change the email to whatever you ask them to.

    I was considering having a real debate with you until I saw #4 and you saying you worked as a Billing rep.

    No, Blizzard is not stupid. Yes, many things can trigger a lock. In fact, there's a much, much, MUCH easier way to trigger a lock other than doing this. A way that doesn't involve calling them up.

    If you did work as a Billing rep, it certainly wasn't for Blizzard, and not for any game company for that matter.

    I'd highly recommend you read my guide on Blizzard policy to learn more. It's the first sticky in the WoW General forums.

    Maybe you'll learn a bit about what you're trying to talk about, eh?

    Tell you the truth, I worked for a year and a half.. for WoW.
    Theres alot of things Blizzard will do in order to make sure of the TRUE owner of the account.

    They DO check ip's because if they didn't how can they tell other computers have been on the account?

    *I* Personally watched 60+ Ip addresses and locked hundreds of accounts...

    Do not talk about what you have no clue.

    Sounds like a deal.
    I worked in a 6 story building in Miami for a year and a half.
    My hours where from 8:00am - 4:00pm Pacific time..
    My extension was 3739 and I was fired for losing some paperwork of an account. (The paperwork was actually sent back to the user when it was not suppose to be)

    Blizzard has 2 offices: Irvine, California and Austin, Texas.

    These are the only places you can work.

    And I just checked to be sure: they never had any employment opporturnities anywhere other than in Irvine and Austin.

    That is COMPLETELY untrue.. It, Unlike others, Was a smaller building for phone/email responses. Including Account Administration and Billing and account services.

    I actually don't want to move on.

    Billing does not check IPs.

    You cannot change the SQA of an account.

    And you, sir, definitely never worked for Blizzard.

    But if you want to prove it to me, tell me how you got employed by Blizzard. What did you do? Where did you go?

    What age were you hired at?
