I myself have only been playing since the beginning of 2007 just before BC came out but ive been exploring for some time. I have never been into the zone on a live server but i found somthing almost as fun as Hyjal in its general area. It is now impossible to get into Hyjal the actual zone since a "No Mans Land" debuff as been added. This is a invisible debuff that as soon as your screen says Hyjal it teleports you back to Winterspring. This is very annoying for us explorers and totally ruins the fun.
On another note if you want some fun around here glich up the mountians to the left of the cave where that istance portal is. Its a very shallow hill and less than a minute of simple wall jumping will get u on top of those rocks and the mountians surrounding Darkwhisper Gorge. Once on top you can see a little bit of Hyjal, DO NOT ENTER HYJAL. If you do you will be teleported very far away and its quite annoying to run back.
Once on of the mountians you go to your left facing towards Ashenvale and there are various untextured mountians/vallys over in this area. You will see a area that looks climbable between 2 steep mountians that are the edge of Hyjal and the edge of Winterspring. Its between the 2 zones and the path you want to take is lower than the other 2 mountians to the left and right. Be careful not to get to close to Hyjal since you will be ported. If you keep wall jumping over the mountians you will eventually reach a plateau (untextured of course) and you will be at the edge of a very large cliff and you can barly see the bottom. Its all untextured green shit. There are also random pillars of green smoke and bunch of untextured mountians. When i went here it siad my location was "Unknown" which i though was kinda cool so i SS'ed it. I found after looking aroud a bit that i was somewhere between Ashenvale, Winterspring and Hyjal. Screenshots are below. Tell me what you think
