Vanilla-Holic The Movie (Classic)
First of all, the credit for the title of the movie goes to Dopefish, the original one was (Nogg-Aholic The Movie) which inspired me to start exploring to begin with.
Vanilla-Holic The Movie
Featured areas in the movie
~Top of Orgrimmar
~Peaks of Darnassus
~Ironforge Airport
~Old Ironforge
~Stormwind and peaks of Stormwind
~The area between Dun Morogh and Searing Gorge
~Badlands mountains and the mountains near Grim Batol
~Gilneas Gate
~Tirisfal Glades
~The mountain area behind Scarlet Monastery
~Deadmines Secret [Old Outland)
~The mountains between Desolace and Feralas
~Tanaris mountains and Uldum gate
~Caverns of Time
There are so many more areas I could show, but that will be left for a future project. I hope you enjoy, as it took a lot of time to film and effort to find a way to get to certain areas.

Too bad you didn't show the HELP mountain (I love that spot) and crashed zeppelin while you were at grim batol !

What are the objects you see right before falling between the gate and the mountain ? Lanterns or misplaced NPCs ?
As for the rest :
I for myself really liked to see the old methods again. You can feel the dozens of failed attempts needed to reach the spots
I enjoyed to revive these old memories, and I find it very interesting to have these paths recorded again, and not forgotten.
But I'm afraid it slows down the rythm and make it a bit boring for people that only want to see the exploration spots.
So you may want to speed-up some parts, to make it feel more epic when the speed slows down again ?
But it's up to you to decide which direction you want to take with this movie, and I may be totally wrong with my comment.
And again, I really liked to see the old paths
So thank you for this first part (?), and I'm eager to see the next ones !

I totally understand where you're coming from regarding the second half, I feel like the music was misplaced at some parts.
Thank you for the feedback, I will try to improve on my next project

<Walks Through Walls>
Finally checked this out today. Bravo, Hurricaanz! This is a wonderful piece of work.
I recently considered doing this same thing... a "redo" of the original Nogg movie, on a classic server, visiting a lot of the same locations.
I'm sure you're familiar with my Empty Space Series, this project brings me right back there.
I LOVE those old empty spaces in the mountain ranges of old Azeroth.
I understand where Nyarly is coming from... but with this type of homage I personally think showing the paths was best.
The original Nogg was also 45 min(ish), after all. You did the project proud, for sure. I simply love it!
Looking forward to a second viewing sometime soon. Thanks, brother.
*edit: BTW, you were throwing out those slowfalls like they are going out of style... a) why not noggenfogger? and b) wheredafuck did you get all the feathers? I played private server vanilla server recently and had a rude awakening remembering that "spell reagents" were once a thing, lmao...queue Trok farming feathers...

I am familiar with your old project, I'm pretty sure it was one of the reasons i started looking into vanilla private servers.. The mage you see in the video is a character from Nostalrius, and I had many stacks of light feathers on him, the character is currently on Anathema, Light's hope.
I wasn't sure yet what kind of a project I was going to make when I filmed everything until about halfway, that's why I sticked with slow falls.
The hunter clips use the good old noggs though
overall I'm happy with the content of the movie, only some of the music I placed seemed misplaced at certain points.
I will be making a second part at some point, but this one I had to rush a little since I wont have time for wow for at least 3 months now.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I can promise many more projects regarding vanilla exploration, since there is still so much I haven't shown and I wanted to stick with a 40-45min long movie.
