[PTR/Beta] Karazhan Crypt Changes in Legion

Stuff blocking off Pauper's walk and Pit of Criminals.
Everything appears to be normal if you get past them though.

Also Hazzbazzy found out that the Portcullis opens after you complete the Broken Shore intro quests. (this is his screenshot)

Some people are speculating that this is the big mega dungeon that Blizzard was talking about releasing with 7.1. However, because of the Portcullis being opened after the Broken Shore I think that this will be the final quest we do before we head to the Broken Isles.
If you want to see it yourself, all of the new gates / barriers they put up you can just ghost run through.

Explorers have been waiting to see this area used for actual game content since it was first discovered. Absolutely massive.
I mean, think about it... how many other areas of the game were created with such detail, and then closed off to never be seen by the general public?
Kara Crypts has always been special like that... really glad explorers were able to notice this change before it possibly goes live.

It opens after the scenario is complete, even before Dalaran is teleported from Deadwind Pass.

before the dalaran teleportation scenario became auto-completed by clicking a portal, i believe there was some rp/run around involved in karazhan/ulduar but because of bugs they removed it on beta and made it much more boring ( click a portal and it auto-completes) but i speculate this may be part of that entire event on live. this makes the most sense with why the portcullis opens after the broken shore intro.
I also know 3 artifact questlines use the new area underneath karazhan but i'm not sure if any lead you into the crypt itself.

Absolutely agreed. When they first announced Hyjal as zone, I couldn't contain myself. Seeing Blizzard finally getting around to making use of these wonderfully developed areas makes me so happy. <3 Finally the public will see all of the cool stuff we've known about since day 0. \o/
