I don't see a reason to add GM Island to this list. Getting there may require some skill but;

1) Reaching the highest point doesn't require ANY skill what-so-ever as you can just use your flying mount.

2) It's not an instance, nor is it an instanced zone, this is just a part of Kalimdor. To me, it's no dfferent to adding Orgrimmar to the list.

3) All of the instances in this thread can be reached using public information. As of me typing this, there's no public glitch for going to GM Island.


I guess it's Trokair's call in the end and I hope you do as you see fit as it's your challenge, just dropping my cents.

1. You can't fly at GM Island.

After some searching, I was obviously wrong about there being no public ways to reach GM Island. My apologies.

I'm talking from older experiences as I havn't really been visiting the Island for a while, but I've made quite a few trips there over the years. When Cataclysm dropped and allowed flying in Azeroth, flying on the Island was no issue as it's part of the 'outer world', i.e. un-instanced Kalimdor. This could have been changed in the last months by making the Island some sort of non-flying area, but it's something I highly doubt. If this is the case, then I'm obviously wrong on the first point as well.

If flying wasn't possible in Orgrimmar, reaching the highest spot there would quite a feat but because you can fly there, I don't see it as exploration content. GM Island is exploration content as it's off limits, but reaching the highest point there would be the same as reaching the highest point in Orgrimmar if flying was allowed, which I was fairly sure of when I wrote my post.

I would be very interested in hearing about a method of going to GM Island that doesn't involve flying in some form. I could very well have missed one, but I've tried some searches and havn't found one. Are you sure it's public? If you're talking about the CRZ fuse one, there seems to be no problems with flying on the Island. Are you saying you're getting dismounted upon zoning in? If this is something that shouldn't be flooding this game thread, then throw me a PM.
