Offline Mode..... but online?

So I was attempting to get under Shrine of Seven Stars because... well... I can. As I attempted to go into offline mode, I was lagging for some strange reason, which caused me to spam the macro. Then this happened.

The picture doesn't really show much, but I was still able to communicate with friends and see people in my Guild/Real ID. I'm not sure if I was able to see people, but this is definitely different. I am not sure if this has been posted here, or let alone found, but if anyone can say why this happened then that would be awesome.

IIRC all chat channels are are on a different server protocol than everything else.

I don't understand why u blacked out chat and then left your name there? Unless the background of your chat box is black and disregard. and +rep if someone can repeat.

I blacked out the chat since a friend of mine was talking about something a little personal, just for the sake of him :3

This has come up before, but we've not a way to recreate it (to my knowledge). It has happened to me before as well (also when I going into offline mode and spamming a DC macro as lag happened, actually)... but I was never able to duplicate it.

Shunt used to be able to do this fairly consistently, perhaps he can chime in if he is around.

That seems to make sense, I'm sure that is the case. If only there was a way to consistently use this. :P
Since doing this is possible, even if for a short time, hopefully a method will be found eventually.
