Tutorial - Offline mode ( No More Disconnections )

Hopefully this tutorial works for the majority of you. I've uploaded on my YT channel on How to reach Quel'Thalas and even Flying in Silvermoon City using this Method.

If I had known about this channel earlier I'd have posted all 75 of my videos. ( I uploaded 30 in 2 weeks )

Hope you enjoy and continue watching my videos. I plan on uploading as much Pandaria exploration content as possible. Thanks for watching.

Agreed...this was fun to watch a disconnected flight to the Crypts. I don't think this works for anyone except for Broadband users that can reset their routers via a software utility. Resetting my router just disconnects me from the game entirely.

+rep. It's the first time I've ever seen a fellow Irish explorer :P and it's handy that I switched from Voda to Eircom a few months back. Excellent find, easy to use and confirmed working for Eircom users. And welcome to the Exploration community
@ParceQueFraiSe: I noticed after the reboot I was disconnected. But during the time that it takes for the router to reconnect to the DNS server (could be around 30 seconds - 1 minute) you will not be disconnected. After you reconnect to your DNS server then you'll be disconnected from the game.

I still think the OP should probably tag the thread title with "for Eircom users" or something. The current thread title leads one to believe this is an offline mode that most could use...

Well, from what I understand this can be used by more than just Eircom users. I tested a few other types of routers to see if there was a difference and nothing seemed different about it. Tested with Huawei HG router'(s) and through the admin panel did a restart and it worked fine (that would be under maintenance for some of you.)

Basically log into your router (if you use one) by typing your Default Gateway into a URL bar (Chrome,IE,Firefox etc..), enter your username (if needed) and password. Scroll down to maintenance/configuration (something along the lines of that) and find Update/Restart. To find your default gateway open Command Prompt (Start + R, then cmd), type (without quotes) "ipconfig" and you should get your information from the primary adapter that you use. For the user / password for your router, it should be on the back of it, if not ring your ISP or search for it on Google / portforward.com. If you have a router then most likely you'll have a configuration page. If you use more than one connection to the internet (multiple connections - PC's, laptops etc..) with only one access point then you have a router. If your using dial up then order some damn broadband :P. And sorry if my explanation is bad, I was never good at explaining things :<

^^ Oh wicked, thanks for clarifying. I don't think I have a router to log into personally... or if I do, I am unaware of it. Glad that this seems like it will work for many broadband/router users.
