I am interested in entering old SM. Can this be done getting outside the map in Scarlet Halls/Monastery?

Donteventrii, as I mentioned in the other two threads, Old SM is only currently accessible via Model Editing (and even then you wouldn't find the mobs or loot that you seek). The Old SM map has no current trigger points in WoW that you could use to access it.
You used to be able to go during the Headless Horseman event, but that event has since been moved to the current SM map.
Even if a GM teleports you to the proper map (which he wouldn't), the mobs wouldn't be there, nor would the loot.
Unfortunately you are out of luck on your quest for lv 29 twink items.![]()
Hello everyone !
Not an exploration question per se but i'd like to know if any one of you would like to edit some raw footage i have in vanilla alpha ?
I suck at making videos and editing them so i'd like to know if what i'm doing currently can be good once edited or if i'm too fast/too slow/shaking/taking bad angles/... before i make more.
Can you help me ?
Thanks!
I'd love to help but my PC can't edit video at the moment.
Good luck Nyarly.

Question/Theory: I noticed the other day that druids can wild charge a priest's lightwell. This would, in theory, make a perfect two person exploring team with wild charge and life grip from symbi. I don't have a priest so my question is; are there limitations on the placement of the lightwell like there are for druid shrooms or lock gates? Druids cannot place mushrooms up hills that are too steep to walk up, same for lock gates.
Thanks
Lightwell does not have limitations, as long as the destination is in line of sight.
How does people deal with sticky walls, solo? If anyone got a method, i'd love a PM explaining it![]()
Just made an account and only regularly started checking these forums two days ago.. i found a post about the falling flame and how you could explore the blood elf area with it (forget the name) i used it and completely overshot the area i was trying to get to but it worked.. then i thought i might be able to get over those blue walls and into gm island with it.. its just a theory which is why i am posting here and i didnt try it myself because its gm island and im a wimp when it comes to areas like gm island emerald dream ect any ideas? or has someone tried this already
I think we should start calling them "end game walls"... because "blue walls" makes me so damn nostalgic! LOL
Although I miss and loved the wavey blue... I like them better now invisible... they make for better screen shots and video! Heh.
Ok, serious question... remember back in the day those PvP placed (or whatever they were) in Stormwind and Orgrimmar? I think it was called Hall of Heroes or Hall of Legends or something. They were buildings where you'd have vendors selling the PvP gear. They used to be INSTANCED buildings... meaning you had to go through a portal to get inside...
Did anyone ever try to break out of those back in the day? Or perhaps someone is on an old Private Server that still has access to the old instanced buildings? I'm curious if there was an "instanced Stormwind" or "instanced Orgrimmar" outside of them, if you were able to bust out of the confines of the instanced building...
Anyone have any thoughts / insight to this?

I assume you're referring to the effect since MoP that causes you to disconnect when flying under the world most of the time?
Afaik, that cannot be 'dodged' reliably without using Offline Mode, which of course, only allows you to move client-side. It can, however, sometimes be avoided in certain areas under the world where there are a lot/large models very nearby - landing on/flying alongside these models can often avoid you from disconnecting, but it's by no means a completely reliable method. Not to mention the fact that it's only applicable in a comparatively small number of places.
As for the flying without a mount...well, if you're not in some kind of Offline Mode whilst doing it then it won't help you avoid disconnecting under the world anyway. As it is, I'm not personally aware of any current 'flying without a mount' methods, though I'm by no means the authority on such things, so it's possible a method exists.
Perhaps someone else could shed a light on whether there is a method right now.
