Server Restarts Exploration Technique

I read the Exploration post and it made me want to share a little exploration Technique I picked up by accident during Server Restarts last week
any how follow the steps provided By xPlacebox (( Much love to him for the Macro )) During a server restart

Macro 1
/run AcceptBattlefieldPort(1, 1)
/run ForceQuit()

up to the point where you que for the BG and use the marco . But instead of killing yourself when you relog you should now be able to walk out through the instance portal the invisible wall no longer working. Please note that you will not be able to hearth, You will not be able to resurrect if you die and you will not be able to unstuck until the server restart is complete. Please note this will not work unless your server is in the process of going down for a restart. I took these black temple images about 7 minutes before restart. hope you enjoy these screen shots of what the front of black temple looks like instanced :3 Azeroth is rather lovely From Shadowmoon valley. feel free to ask questions if you need help replicating.

xPlaceBox's Exploit only was meant for when servers are up from what I understand and while servers are up instance doors are still in place. Tested that on Kara and it did not work unless restart was going. Far as I remember xPlacebox's method will not lead to the same results.

I'm confused as well. You can walk through instance portals using the Novalok / xPlacebox exploit... you do not need to kill yourself. The 'kill yourself' part is only if you want to bypass doors or mobs as a ghost. The whole "not resurrecting and no unstuck, hearthing, or spells" is also just part of the original glitch.

Are you saying that your version of the exploit is to use this glitch before a server restart... substituting "kill yourself" with "servers are down"?? Seems killing yourself would be easier than waiting for a server restart. if this is the only difference, I would say this really should have just been posted in the old thread.

I think he's referring to the attacks that were made on Blizzard servers yesterday with a crash program. Servers don't "restart" normally that many times, and Apoc already removed the program links, as well as Blizzard already addressed and fixed the problem.

No I think I am getting you all confused xD Rolling Restarts happen on Tuesdays that do not have regularly scheduled maintenance mainly. The reason I was not killing myself to get through instance doors is because the instance doors still block you when dead when you use the macro at least for Karahzan now I know this is a fringe technique but it is something to get around instance doors for the time being. and when I say instance doors I mean the portal in and out of the instance not like gates or physcial barrier in the raid or dungeon itself

drm420, the original glitch using Macro1 does get you through the portal that takes you in and out of an instance. This happens even before you die... no death necessary. That was the original purpose of the current glitch... to be able to walk through portals without loading.

The only thing I can think of is that you are specifically mentioning Karazhan... and Kara does have an invisible wall behind the entrance portal. Perhaps you are saying that you can get through this invisible wall once the server is down?

Perhaps English isn't your first language, but portals, doors and invisible walls are all very different things. Please clarify between walls, doors & portals. This is still confusing at best. Just trying to help!
