So I Took Some Time to do a small hand of my exploration of places with great surtout rare.

Yunalol22, I look forward to watching this video! At over 16 minutes it will have to wait for a quite moment this weekend... but I'm sure I will enjoy it just looking at the locations.

((Speaking of these locations though, could you please tag your thread with [Model Edit] or something to that effect? At first I wanted to report this thread for a move to the ME forum, but I can tell this is going to be a wonderful exploration of these spots (rather than just an explanation, or a show of model editing prowess)!! Beautiful explorations belong in this forum, but I think should be tagged if they're done using Model Edits.))

Oh that's nice, i've always wanted to see these places by myself ! ... wait ..
I'm quite surprised to see so much people from ridpef managing to do theses ME all by themselves while no one from ownedcore achieved anything.


Anyway, always nice to see more footage of these places !
A lot of english typos too (designer's island instead of island designers, official servers instead of serveurs, ..)

And i kind of agree with Trokair, all this is done with Model edits, maybe you should add a tag to the title

I'm quite surprised to see so much people from ridpef managing to do theses ME all by themselves while no one from ownedcore achieved anything.

Ouch, I think it's time to settle some things.

First of all, yunalol is no longer a member of the RIdPEF. He used to, under the name of crouspaul, but got banned because of his childish behaviour which was against our rules : pissing off people, sending private messages to moderators (including myself) asking how to go to certain places, promoting exploiting, necroing old topics... We gave him a chance, but he choose not to take it, so he got banned

He then created another account, crouspaul22, but got insta-banned for obvious reasons. Two days later he registered again under the name of Douwie22 and after we recognized him, proceeded to create tons of topic to insult us (especially me, because I censored his links) ( http://puu.sh/tqvs and http://puu.sh/tqBj if you really want to see some of the things he said -it's in French, but I'm sure you will have no difficulty to understand it). Sadly for him, I deleted all of his topics, and he got banned again soon afterwards.

Three days later he registered again under the name of orangina, came on our IRC to ask about cheating methods, which got banned him once again. He registered AGAIN a month later under the name Yséra, and this time, we thought we managed to dissuade him to register again by making him understand that you need to be careful on the Internet and not leaving traces of himself on cheating / hacking websites (I won't go into too much details).

Which of course he didn't, as he registered under the name of Yuna, and tried to usurp the identity of others member to get details from me on how to solve certains issues with model-editing, and created another Youtube channel, and put "ridpef", "feangren", "khamul" and other member names in the tags of his video. This is why I asked on his last thread (about Old Stormwind) to stop it once and for all.


So, this guy has created multiple accounts, got banned on all of them because of rule-breaking, and created more accounts to insult us.
He doesn't deserve so much attention.

@Spoutnik That's ironic that you guys kicked him out for "childish behavior" when your crew frequently displays the same behavior on this forum. Consistently disrepsecting members who post quality exploits often resulting in hijacked threads, blatantly insulting people because they don't share your opinions, not to mention insulting this community, I mean the list goes on. IMO I'd make Yuna the leader of the Royal something something he clearly fits right in.

I enjoyed the fatastic model-editing, but I have one question - the 'observatory' is probably a .wmo or a doodad or whatever - A model. It seems that whoever have made this .adt simply has smashed the Observatory on an empty .adt instead of converting the alpha Deadwind Pass, where the Observatory originally was found. We've before seen beautiful alpha imports from RIdPEF; why not convert the several .adt's from alpha into Cata-.adt's instead of just taking the model and putting it on an empty .adt? The landscape and the skybox itself adds to the
view.
- Good job with ED skybox & Azshara Crater though. Is the skybox in the AD edit the correct one? I recognize it from Hellfire Peninsula.
Also, I still want the fixed Abyssal Maw files!

Spoutnik, after reading old posts, and seeing how little you share with the community, besides posting videos of the results, you really do come off as high-ego person who thinks all their exploration are better than everyone elses.

I dont see what the point of keeping the files from everyone else are, it really makes no sense. This is a fricking video game we are talking about here, and you hold back files and whatnot for what reason? to further your own explorations? Who cares?

You dont gain anything from holding back information from anyone, besides what you might think, you gain absolutely nothing, except for a little more attention from people here at ownedcore, which after being here on this wesbite for some time now, it seems like everyone is reputation hungry and is always just trying to be the best, "ooo im better than you" "no i wont tell you how to do it, cause i found it!"

Why would you give spoutnik rep for a video that he didnt even create? I dont care how many times this Yunalol person was banned, he made this video, regardless of how he got the information to get to these locations, regardless of him using info that he learned when he used to be on whatever dumb exploration team he was on, its his video..

Luria could go out 'n copy-paste studies done by Jung. Would you respect him?

I don't see the point in worshiping multiple deities, but it seems to work for the Hindus, and I don't question them on it.

My point is that people should try to understand the belief systems of others before they judge them. Here is RIdPEF's belief system (needs a translation from French, but Google should be able to handle that). Reading this may give you some insight as to why they do what they do.

Although I do agree that the RIdPEF members should tone their responses down when they're here on OwnedCore (we do believe in sharing, so I think they should respect that when they post here)... I don't see why this is getting brought up here in this thread. Spoutnik/Feangren was simply responding to Nyarly's assumption that the OP was a member of the RIdPEF group and sharing some history with us.

Let us try to keep the focus on the content of the video, shall we?

I see plenty of people, post explorations that they did not discover, and rack up heaps of reputation. Why? Because some people hadnt seen it, or they just enjoyed watching. The point is that it was their video. You cant keep everything your own forever. Not something like this, something that is hardly even tangible. And he didnt "steal" anything at all.

Glitches aren't property, they dont get patented. There is no copyright. There is not profit or money involved. This isn't a buisness. So technically, I could sit here and say that i found the Abyssal Maw before Spoutnik. Like before, this is a video game. It's simply not real. These arent discoveries about Electricity. You are comparing design flaw in a video game, to major discoveries of mankind. Think about that for a moment.

Thats kind of like saying a plane company copies the first plane company. They make another Airline, based off the first airline company. And then they do the same thing. Transport people across the world and country. That's not stolen is it? No its not.

But i dont want any problems with anyone so, I will drop this topic right now.

Of course it's alright to create movies of methods, areas, generally just content seen before ad nauseam. Even I have done so. We can however discuss whether yunalol22's video miscredits RIdPEF in general. As stated in spoutnik's post:

Do we wish to promote this behaviour? I don't, really. He practically exploited people (oh the irony) to gain inside information about things, RIdPEF wish to keep for 'emselves.

I am probably very controversial when talking about this, since I released Development without MoD's allowance. And yes, it is a game. Reputation is not real either. It's all about the concept, isn't it?

All in all, allow me to correct myself:
I think feangren deserve reputation for being the one who found this. It is a beautiful video, and I would probably also have given reputation for that one, but I would - Oh, screw my beliefs. +2 to you for the video, yunalol22
