FP-Control in BGs

To get things clear:
I've never claimed to be the "first". This is possible since KotS released a vid with a different quest about a year ago.

And no, I don't want any rep or anything else. Give them to VOTUUS or (better imo) KotS if you feel like a hero while doing it.

I captured the video files only for me as long as its possible (VOTUUS statement of early BG start is enough for blizz) and why not sharing it. Maybe VOTUUS don't have that much BG material or do not release it.

Hope this stops the hatemails from i dont know (VOTUUS?/VOTUUS-Fanboys?/idontcare)


Hi there!



So i have been a long-time-read-only-leecher (since 2008 i guess), but decided to share the video files i've captured today.
The story WHY i even captured those scenes: When i got home and checked my mails, I suffered some kind of shock. VOTUUS uploaded a new video and "republished" FP Control. It isn't new. There has ever been a way (may it be quest/mc/whatever) to do this since it was found the first time.
I've been on this for about 1/2 year now. Different quests, different locations and destinations. But after watching the video and reading the part "early bg start" I knew I have to do it now or those explorations may be gone/fixed forever in battlegrounds (EU has maintenance-shutdown wednesday morning)

So I've been in a real hurry this evening/night to get as much footage as possible.
Please mention: Those clips are just a little outlook of all the material I got (I am only showing off BGs because my crystal ball told me that VOTUUS wont show alot of BG footage.)
Also this video is edited within one hour, do not expect too much. I had only access to my laptop and an external harddrive, so the video quality may not be the best. The majority of footage I got about FP-exploring is on my desktop pc (more than 100km away right now :P).

All those clips are done with the quest Shifting Priorities (the same VOTUUS uses) to prevent blizzard logging (if I may have forgotten to block my name somewhere) and fixing more quests.

Please keep in mind (I did not show this in this video): After flying for a kinda aeon straight (while not d/cing) you get into "Flightpath-Mode" and you do the exactly same moves as you would do in the quest-fp and dismount at the end.
This can be useful for some instances (probably not with this quest, but telling you anyway).

Also to mention: I definitely had the most fun in Battle for Gilneas. In Arathi Basin there might be a chance to d/c directly in the water and swim up, but it didn't work out for me in a bunch of trys. Logging out AFTER you d/ced will get you off the "flightpath-mount" and use mounts/items/etc. but you may die after dropping below the death line (happens to me in Twin Peaks in this video).

Credit for finding this exploit with this quest go definitly to VOTUUS. But there are more quests like this in the game, which i may publish in the future, if blizzard is going to fix the whole FP-Controls.


PS: I don't know if I will have the time to edit the other video files in near future (lot of exams right now )

Your affection towards this exploit moves me. Such an exploit looks to be so powerful and full of dangerous potential that even blizzard will have to get off their lazy ass and nerf this bug.

Let me tell you something, from.. my past experience. Blizzard will only fix what is brought to the public's attention, they won't lift a finger more. This exploit will be fixed, but others will still work.
