This was not my first exploit ever but it was my first that I was really proud of and that I didnt have seen on video before. It was the area next to deathknell, next to UD starting place. I remember it because I had to wallclimb alot to get to a place where I then had to use those blue rocket boots that you equipp to jump over a gap and land it, wich was rally hard and took some tries :P I didnt use the same way as the guy in this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaMYkd7sunM I came in from the south some how, I think I got pictures left of it on an old computer.

Another one I remember was this "room" in Ironforge where me and my friends could stand and kill Alliance. We ran in and died just underneath it and then jumped up to it as ghost. When we was new to it, it was pretty hard to land the jumps but after a couple of days it went smooth. I cant find any video about it so ill go take a screenshot of it and post, brb
    Made a clip =) http://youtu.be/SfHqIIaMSf0

I'll never forget, yearsss ago pre-BC. I used good old Cheat Engine back then to apply wall hacks and ran up the walls in deadmines to get a sneak peek at what used to be called the "outlands testing area" Also, the very very old school method of getting to Old Ironforge via what used to be called "Old GM Island" you could run into a tunnel and start to free fall to death, but if you had just the right amount of Noggin Fogger elixir (for slow fall) you could actually fall into water under Iron Forge and swim to Old IF lmaoo!! And going wayyy back into what used to be "MMowned" When the great DemonKunga reigned with Model edits, there used to be one to get to GM Island. Coupled with a Cheat Engine Speed hack of course, so you didn't get fatigue lmao!!

Ah the goold old days!! ... if anyone on here is old enough to remember them lol.

It isn't much of an exploration, but exploration is still exploration. Here goes!

I started in Wrath, so there wasn't much to explore compared to Vanilla. However, with every video game I play, I exploit the crap out of it to see what devolpers do with areas nobody should see, and while questing in Stonetalon I found a small path that, with some well-timed mount jumps, you could climb up the mountains into a wide open area! I was so excited, what with having just bought WoW about a month prior, and instantly showed my friends it. Not too long ago, I was watching your ESS series Trokair, and I saw you looking from above my little exploration area. I had spent so long, and so much gold in repairs, trying to reach where you were. Of course, I hadn't seen the video then but I think you get the idea. Now, I'm pretty much the known exploiter on my server, constantly showing people how to get into small areas like on the org AH house or in the WKM room, or showing my close friends the Karazhan Crypts or outside Deepholm. Oh and Trokair, pretty sure your video is what showed me the mount-disconnect glitch, to replace the mount jump glitch, so thanks! You also inspired me to find more explorations, I am honestly quite the fan of you hehe.

So that was my first exploration, with a little added. Also first post ftw!

Great first post, Kwasa! That was one of the points of the thread... to get the lurkers out of hiding.

And thanks for the kind words. Glad to have inspired you in any way!

Even on my first days in WoW, I was amazed by how big the world was and all the secrets it seemed to hide. On my first rogue, I went all the way from Darkshore to Thunder Bluff on a level 18 night elf rogue doing most of the travel stealthed. However, it didn't stop there, I've been trying to find spots to explore wherever I would pass by when leveling. The most amazing spot I had found was at stonetalon; There was a huge flat space with an hidden "test" area and it was amazing to see how big this area was.

I love how many answers are "Old IF" or "IF Airport".... definitely one of the first places I visited as well. The old method of that one tricky jump by the cave entrance in Dun Morogh... good old times!

I also love the amount of people saying the flat land in Stonetalon! DrakeFish, please check out my response to TehVoyager earlier in this thread with my ESS video of that area... one of my old favorites, for sure.

Keep 'em coming... these are great.

Alixamix, that is one of the coolest methods that I have ever seen to get under old Stormwind.

How on earth did you find that path? It was as if you were sticking to the mountain... like using the old Levitate glitch, but without the levitate.

Very impressive! +2 rep for sharing... I really enjoyed that video.

It is the Mage's Tower in Stormwind. The tower is housed underneath Stormwind, because the interior is actually larger than the exterior. There is a portal at the top of the tower that you pass through that teleports you into the interior of the tower seamlessly... giving the illusion that you are at the "top of the tower". Most players have no idea that when they are in that room they are really underground...

And yes, you can still access it from underground... check the 3:00 mark of my SW video here:

WizardTrokair, it took a pretty long time to do this. but a short time after Wotlk release you were able to wallwalk like that in some specific places. It was fixed a short time after that, but I really enjoyed that time and I was pretty good at wallwalking, but then it got fixed =/ I also went up the waterfall in Northshire, that was really hard.

Everyone has screenshots to remember their first exploration, I dont even have the folder from way back when.

However mine was the dancing troll village I loved going there after learning to wall climb, although I was a priest and everyone knows levitate is the shit for exploration (Not anymore though) but yea it was a lot of fun.

    <3 Pluto

*EDIT* PS Speaking of GM island remember that MPQ you could download and then take a boat directly there? Lol good times.
