[Exploration] Getting under Outland via Shattrath

Didn't see any threads with this easy method in them, so figured I'd make one up real quick. All you need is a growth item and a Mushroom Chair/seat item or simply do the growth/DC trick.

First, go to Shattrath, and fly to the left side of the top of the elevator tower that goes up to the Scryer's Tier. Fly into the indicated spot, dismount, and go as far underneath the overhang as you can.

Once there, either:

A - Plant your Mushroom Chair (or other seat), step out from under the ceiling, use your growth item, sit in the chair, then hop up and through the overhang.
B - Wedge yourself underneath the overhang, use your growth item, and DC. Upon logging back in, just hop up and inside the structure.

Once up and inside the structure, remove your growth buff and move over to your right. You'll see the big gaping hole that leads underneath Outland. Go to the edge, mount up, and explore!

Nice exploration! I remember the days on my rogue when I used to go to the chickens down in Lower City (the ones that get frightened when you go near them) and when one went though the wall, I would shadowstep behind the wall and mount up. Nice to see there is another way to get under Outlands. +rep

"Mount through walls" posts that simply show good spots to 'mount through walls' should really be posted in that sticky thread.

It's actually a different spot, but that video hadn't popped up in my searching or I'd have probably tried that spot first! So for any of these kinds of simple things, just post in that thread?

You're right... watching the video again he does use the platform to the right of the elevator... but it is basically the same spot. And yes, a video wouldn't have shown up in the search, so very difficult for you to have known. I only knew it was there because I have been using the spot ever since seeing that video! I would have actually given you rep for this contribution, but the site wants me to spread more first.

And yes... posts that simply show great spots to mount-through-walls should just be put in that sticky thread, if it is just "this is a good spot". I tend to feel differently if your mount/blink-through-walls spot leads to a new room or area, and you put a nice video up (like NanaCry just did for underneath the Nexus... a wicked new area!)... but that is just my opinion and I don't make the rules. I just want people to remind people that the Sticky thread is there and should be used when applicable.

I didn't want to reply here before because i didn't want to blame you for contributing since you're new here and you're doing a fantastic job these last days. But yeah, for me too, if there's something new to show with mount through walls then make a new thread, if it's just a new spot, then i think it's better to put it on the sticky thread.

Indeed it loses visibility but it keeps the whole section clean and make new stuff more visible so i still think it's the better way.

I'll try to rep you but i must probably spread before doing it again.
