Titan Travels 8: The Uninstanced Halls of Ulduar

Hey guys, Strangletusk here with the fifth episode of my series on Titan-themed explorations, Titan Travels. The series focuses on explorations dealing with titan structures - for example, accessing blocked titan gears and machinery and more.

This fifth episode, like the last one, is an exploration of uninstanced content - in this case, of the Ulduar instances and raid. It would be more accurate to be honest to call these "behind the portal" explorations, as behind the portals for the Halls of Lightning and Stone , and Ulduar, are not copies of places featured in the actual instances. Still, I think these are quite cool explorations, and hopefully you'll think so too

Headdress isn't necessary for the HoL bit. You can just DC yourself when you get to the height you need with gravity well and then slow fall + move forward as you log back in.

True, that does work - but if you have the Headdress already there's no need to do that, you'd be as well to use it.

Love the un-instanced Ulduar hallway, and that Titan machine door is wicked! So glad you did this series.

PS - You mention "Behind the portal"... I always thought that would make a great series. Like Dellion's [TUSOTW] project, it would be extensive, since every instance has a bit of this sort of beginning area. Most of them would be accessed this same way though... just flying in from underneath... might be better for a fun "long video" with all of them in 15 second shots, rather than a series. I don't know... just thinking out loud and sharing!

Seriously, I'm starting to think you're a damn mind-reader Trokair! By coincidence, I'm actually working on a project on the side which is...well pretty much identical to what you suggested. It's going to be called The Beyond the Portals Expedition. Have about 1/3 of the applicable instances recorded atm - I plan to release it after I've finished with Titan Travels (and I'll keep The Random Expeditions going at the same time too) Been working on it for the past month or so

Really though, your comment shows exactly why I post on MMOwned instead of just Youtube. I wouldn't have got the good feedback with that suggestion of doing them all as one long video! Great idea Trokair - people would've been bored out their wits with a long video for each one :P

Maybe I'll just show the closest spot to get under the world for each instance with it edited each time to just when I glitch through and get under the world, THEN show what the "behind the portal" part is like and so on and so on. I could either do it as a) 1 really long video or b) break it down into 4 videos, one for each of Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Northend and Outland. B is probs the best shout, it would help people find the instance they're most interested in that bit easier.

But yeah...expect The Beyond the Portals Expedition after Titan Travels!
