The Random Expeditions: The X-2 Pincer Revisited

Hey guys, Strangletusk here with a new sorta-series - The Random Expeditions. Basically, anything goes for this series, any random exploration I come across is fair game so there's going to be quite a mixture in it.

This first episode, as the name suggests, is all about the fabulous X-2 Pincer submarine in Gilneas. Now, I've already done a video many months ago showing how to get into it and etc (hence the 'revisited' in the title), but this new video shows two new methods of accessing it, both easier and quicker than the old one, as well as showing for the first time a cool (albeit small) hidden chamber underneath the floor of the sub. I really do encourage everyone to check out the sub, in my eyes, it's one of the coolest explore-only things introduced in Cataclysm.

Anyways, on a different note, I would like to say that I'm now going to try and be a bit more scheduled with my vids, so here's the very rough schedule!
Beginning of the week: Episode from The Random Expeditions
Midweek-weekend: Episode from Titan Travels (when Titan Travels is finished, it'll be a different series)

    Enjoy!

Ah Strangletusk... your timing on this is freaky to me!! I had closely followed your previous X-2 explorations... and just recently decided to take a look myself. Just a few days ago, on my own, I discovered your "Method #2" from this video! I was planning on posting it as a follow up to your previous exploration, but now there is no need... Great explorers think alike, I suppose!

+2 rep for a wonderful exploration. In my eyes, you own that submarine!

(PS - I used an Elixir of Giant growth for the first floor, and then my Headless Horseman's mount for the second floor)

Hahaha I actually found the new methods and recorded them for this video a few days as well...we may have even found that second method on the same day! Funny how these things happen.

Ah yeah, the Elixir of Giant Growth would of course work as well for the first step, though personally, I'd say the mount-glitch is the way to go since it's also easy, and you don't waste one of your growth pots (on my server they cost shiteloads on the ah, I have no alchemy alts, AND I'm too lazy to separately buy mats and get someone to make them for me). But aye, they both work, so it's just down to personal preference which one you use.

That's some strange looking textures ! (or is it the video editing)
Aye, most likely the transition from recording it, then to iMovie, then to youtube will account for some of the unusual appearance of the textures - if you view it in 720p then it'll be less apparent. Speaking of textures though, the sub has quite a few cool textures that afaik, are not found anywhere else. For example, the repeating metal circles on the floor on the "exit" ramps, and the funky design going on on the floor in the main part of the sub. It's a cool place in general - I usually queue there for heroics

Oh btw guys, something to note if you plan on summoning friends into it with Have Group Will Travel or similar - since the area is in Gilneas, it uses a lot of phasing. If you have done the Silverpine Forest quests (Horde and maybe Ally, I don't know their quests well) that take place in Gilneas, or any quests that take place there, then you will be in a different phase to people that haven't, naturally. You can still summon people in, but they may well be invisible to you due to the above.

Thanks for the nice feedback everyone!
