Flying in Silvermoon

Sorry for no video, this was more of a spur of the moment thing, so I didn't download fraps!

Anyways, to start with go to the place where The Wizard Tokair starts flying in his "Flying in Ghostlands" video (shown in spoiler below). Also, you need to either have a flying two seater mount and bring a friend along, or bring a friend that has one.

Anyone who hasn't watched the recent RAoV video probably should. Pay attention to the 'mount exploits' at 4:26 in the video...

Now the 'tricky' part. Instead of using a two seater ground mount like RAoV did in their video, you need to use a flying two seater mount. The passenger just lags himself out using the guild bank macro while the mount's owner recasts the mount 2 times and then waits for the passenger to stop lagging. What ends up happening is that the mount will be visible, the passenger can still jump in and out, and you can fly, but you will be missing the mount buff (and so your mount will not be removed when you fly out of the 'Unknown' zone!). From this point you can fly into Silvermoon and still be mounted, and can explore wherever you want on the continent.

Entering Silvermoon. You have to enter through the actual gates since Silvermoon is surrounded by invisible walls. If you land on the ground though its no big deal, you can fly again afterwards (as long as you don't cast something and dismount yourself).


In Silvermoon...


Looking at the main part of Silvermoon. You can see that my friend has an NPC on the ground selected, and if look on the ramp you can see some of the NPC's (really small guards): this is not 'offline mode'.

Very impressive man.

One of the things I love about doing these videos is to see where other people can take them. I'm sure VotU feels the same way. It is encouraging and satisfying to see someone take one of my explorations, mix it with someone else's exploit, then tweak it with their own spin and come up with something fresh.

People will say "why bother, you'll be able to fly in Silvermoon come patch 4.1"... but they just don't get it. You did it before Blizzard allowed you to, and saw something new.
