[Screen Shot] Symmetrical mountains between Searing Gorge & Badlands.

I got this screen shot while standing on the mountains between Searing Gorge and the Badlands. No editing, live server, this is just how it looks when you stand at that spot. It seems Blizzard got lazy when designing this area, and just mirrored the whole terrain!

Yeah, pretty wild. I thought this view just looked a bit surreal. I am very curious how they will redraw/recolor all of this in Cataclysm. So many unblended terrains, so many blank areas... it will be interesting for all of us explorers, I'm sure.

I went here again last night (wanted to use the image for the Master of Exploration thread, but needed myself in the shot)... and I can't get there any more! All of a sudden there is now an invisible wall there. My usual tricks to get through walls do not seem to be working on this one.

I highly doubt Blizzard saw my thread and put up the wall... but for my own ego I'll pretend it is there just because of me! Now... to figure out a way past it, so I can get this shot again before Cata...

That invisible wall is client side, it has been there for a very long time before tbc even.

Actually, I'm a goof! I have confused two places.

When I "went here again last night", I actually went to the mountains north of Stormwind, near the Searing Gorge and the Dun Morough Plane Camp. THAT is where the invisible wall is.... it is not the same spot I went to take the pic in the OP.

The spot in the picture above is indeed between Searing Gorge and the Badlands... which is NOT near the Dun Morough Plane Camp. (Duh!) I have edited my original post now as it was misleading.

I have also dedicated the 4th video of my ESS series to this particular area. Below is a video of me getting there:
