[Fun] Worgen Play

Ye so after reading up some lore on Worgens i thought id do some of the related quests mentioned on wowwiki and visited the Bloodmoon Isle off the eastern coast of Grizzly Hills.

Interestingly both the mobs there:

Bloodmoon Cultist
Bloodmoon Worgen

And also Goremaw the elite worg have the ability to infect u with a disease called

Infected Worgen Bite

Once u reach a infection level of 3 u get transformed into a kool worgen only have small duration but u can pretty much test out the worgen model movements before cataclysm.
A few emotes work with the exception of /dance. Heres some screenys

When it was published that worgens and goblins are going to be the 2 new races in cataclysm, i used to go to that tower with my mage, make a portal, take the infection and transform to worgen and then go to city and ppl were wondering how the hell i transformed into a worgen x)

you know the Worgen player-model wont have the same movement as a NPC-worgen? so it's not gonna look like this when Cataclysm hits, same with goblin

Yeah, this is just a NPC model. They will make a completely new model for Worgen in the Cataclysm.

Tbh in the design of the worgen model in cataclysm im pretty sure theyll use the ones they designed for the current worgen transform for a form of reference in some way. Ofc some may be different but id put money on some of the current emotes being used for cataclysm

There was a video on mmo champ a while ago of beta showing some worgen actions and a few are the same as this.

There are tons of Worgen gameplay movies from BlizzCon etc and they are different in almost every single way (including animations).

Though this worgen model might be used as a quest mob in Gilneas (one of the feral Worgens).

This is Blizz we're talking about, goblins have had dwarf animations for five years. Unless they need reason to redo it, they won't.

Worgen will certainly have a new model, that's been proven. But I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the emotes and animations, especially for things like sit and kneel, are the same or at the least very similar. After all, they're not something players see every day, very few would notice.

(I'm not saying that goblins will continue to have dwarf animations, that is something that players would certainly notice and cry foul of.)

As of now the blizzcon testing goblins still use alot of animations from dwarfs, atleast running and some melee attacks, spellcasting however is new. These might be placeholders though, who knows.

I think they will use the npc animations either as reference or just outright using them.

Those animations were NEVER used by npcs.

Since when do you see a mounted worgen?

Some of them may be used.

And i doubt they would make those animations for a 1 minute debuff or a 10 second buff (kara)
I mean, this thing has more animations than the Hyldnir, and unlike many others the Worgen uses an unique skeleton, this means they had to make new animations.

(However the swimming looks oddly familiar...Druid swim form?)
