That's how I saw Emerald Dream for the first time. On my old comp it was like this all the time without editing or anything.
On my new comp it looks like it worked after I followed your Guide.
THIS is Awesomme!

It's been a while
Seen this somewhere before like a year ago? Or then its just some sort of deja vu and cant find a link.
Nice find.
That's awesome, every picture I've seen has been that ugly green! +Rep
Hmm, I never would have though it would be something as easy as that. Very cool.
Wow, thats very awesome, man!

Nobody ever found this ? I mean seriously?
I knew this since Vanilla ..
That was so "fkucing" easy, and most people didn't even noticed it, until now! Tyvm
+rep, just epic!
No, specular lightning as always (since early beta) been one of the available rendering options...
Most of the smart people already found/known about it since...ED is in the gamefiles...Originally Posted by LucasGod

And no, it never was a "secret"...
Are you calling these guys stupid or? :PMost of the smart people already found/known about it since...ED is in the gamefiles...
Yes it has always been there. I just got tired of exploration videos about this 'untextured'
zone.
It never was a secret to you but to some people it might be.
No more acid coloring? But still looks great, nice find
By some reason, i can't see it.
Here is what i do:
1) Going into Video Options -> Effects and turning Specular Lightning off.
2) Pressing Apply & Relogging
3) Logging in (On a level 1 orc shaman in Durotar)
4) I'm in .. Durotar
I'm playing with Windowed mode, and with full resolution, optical and graphical Options on highest.
What can i do? O:
You could also add the specular textures to the MPQs,
->take the normal textures, add a alpha channel with specular informations and name them OriginalName_s.blp
->you now can also enable specular lighting and see the textures
Very cool! It's awkward that turning a setting down would actually IMPROVE graphics. It looks just like that on MapViewer too, but reflective.
Nice find, matey.
any way to visit emerald dream on retail?
