    *WoW Alpha* Doctor Lapidis & Gillijim's Island

    I bet some have always wondered about the two islands you can see west of STV on the world map.

    This is them.
    The north one is Doctor Lapidis Island and the south one is Gillijim's Island.

    The islands can ONLY be found on the Alpha Clients but the zone text still exist in game, maybe we will see them again in Cataclysm?

    Well yea, just posted that so ppl could look it too.

    One good hint: use fly on private server. In ur video u could have showed a very good overall view of the place.

    yea have tried to come up with the fly command but no success...

    I was flying with my friend with wowinfinity and found Gillijim's island from west of STV, or well the zone only.

    The zones still seem to be tagged, but the islands were removed by version 1.0's release.

    Both islands is home to the Jungle trolls.
    So I don't think it was about they didn't fit into the lore.

    I think it's in the lore that they (jungle trolls) first lived on islands then moved on to the main land and made Zul'Gurub.

    I put my twocents on that the islands will be back in Cataclysm, home of some Troll/goblin tribe that will join the horde.
