Old. Isnt this like the.. eight post about this today?
didnt found a thread yet. sry if so, was just about to help out![]()
This is confusing. If we look at the list blizzard released about expansions (ofc they can change plans) you will see those:
- Plane Set (aka emerald dream)
Pandaria - 1 to 10 /
Hiji - 10 to 20
Wolfenhold - 1 to 10 /
Xorothian Plains - 10 to 20. That would be pandarens and some wolves, probably worgs.
I see no reason why worgs would come in maelstrom expansion, and i see no way goblins could be playable class. Goblins are neutral for both alliance and Horde.
If they released those, it would mean horde would get worgs but why would alliance get goblins if its a neutral race.

+ It is on friggin mmo-champ* so why repost it here?!!! ---__---
Playing a game for the graphics is like watching porn for the storyline.
They wont give us goblins and worgs, Well, definetly not goblins, worgs -COULD- be a possibility, but not goblins.
@agni: think about draenei, there is no logic ^^
here is my theory,
Goblin:
the goblins are hired mercenary's, and can be bought. while some pledge themselves to the alliance for it's promises of riches and glory, some prefer not to take sides, seeing profit in both factions.
Worgen( the coolest xpac race so far to me, and proof that blizzard likes us better):
the worgen where once considered an unintelligent race, but as the Horde has seen as with the trolls that where so brutally slain by the humans, there is often more than meets the eye when it comes to creatures of azeroth. Now with the litch king weakened(maby dead? depending on how WotLK ends) the worgen have been called to join the horde, and they have heeded that call.
UNREST, i read mmochampion and some ppl said that worgen would be perfect race for alliance. Then i recognized those BOTH could be neutral. Which could lead to that they could be made from both factions, but that doesnt make sence anymore >.<

They are simply masks for events, an event that will certainly happen before the next expansion.
This seems to be the logic of speculators:
"There are only Halloween masks of playable races, blizzard is adding masks for goblins and Worgen, ergo, Goblin and Worgen will be playable races."
That statement assumes that the way Halloween masks are currently handled is how they will always be handled, and makes an assumption based on that assumption.
It is essentially the same as:
"I can fit into my suit, my suit can fit into my briefcase, therefore I must be able to fit into my briefcase"
To me, these masks prove nothing, other than that people are very willing to give to speculation and hysteria.
Agree with above poster. Worgen doesn't make sense to be a new race.. why? They are just humans that transform at night. I.E werewolves. Go outside SFK and check the humans there in the morning and at night they are worgen. I can see goblins joining the horde as they were on the horde at one time and decided to leave. Keeping that in mind, there are also many many many more goblins then just the steamwheedle cartel, venture company, etc. I wouldn't base the next races on such little information.
This would be plausible if it weren't for the fact they took their time to add textures for a female Worgen which doesn't even exist anywhere in the game. Why would they add that for the female worgen just for the event when they don't even exist in game? This plus that all masks currently are for playable races is a pretty clear indication that these will be new races. I'm pretty sure that this is how it will be and I can't wait to roll a worgen. :3
Again, that's merely speculation based on assumption. How Halloween masks have operated in the past does not preclude how they will operate in the future, correlation does not equal causation. Female Worgen have the same models as males currently in the game, models are much harder to craft than textures. In my estimation, they did this entirely to add new things to the Halloween event (they will probably be quest rewards), and nothing more.
Such speculation, to me, is premature at very best.
I would agree if it was just worgen, goblin male and goblin female masks, but we all know Blizzard are so lazy that they wouldn't just add something completely new like a female worgen mask when there is no other female worgens in the game at all. The male worgen is also a new texture. Why not just take the old worgen texture and slap it on a flat model? No, these masks are completely new textures and even of something that haven't even been in the game before.
I guess your right, i didn't read mmochampion, but i don't see how worgnes would be good for alliance, i mean aren't they savage and beast-like? but the goblin thing doesn't fit.
now, after reading on wowwiki, it makes sense that they would both be neutral
"By the start of the Second War Gilneas was one of the most powerful human nations, and because of this, the kingdom's ruler, Genn Greymane, was not a strong supporter of the Alliance, believing that his own armies would be more than enough to deal with any threat. Despite this, Gilneas was not neutral towards the Horde, and did join the Alliance late in the Second War, although Lord Greymane constantly argued against its existence from beginning to end. Shortly after the Horde was defeated, Greymane pulled his nation's "support" from the Alliance, refusing to spend his nation's resources on keeping the orcs alive in internment camps or in rebuilding other nations devastated by the war. Greymane's isolationism may have been influenced by Daval Prestor, secretly the black dragon Deathwing in human form, who Greymane had supported to the throne of Alterac."
