Interesting places you've been accidently teleported to.

I'm sure most of you have experienced logging in to find yourself teleported to a completely weird location (such as under the world, in the ocean, etc) or taken a hearth to wind up somewhere you know you didn't want to go. I remember back in vanilla WoW I logged out on a zepplin outside Org and when I logged back in I was falling underneath Arathi Highlands. When I turned to ghost my ghost started falling until he too hit the bottom, then teleported to the top. A GM had to port me to a graveyard outside Org and ressurect me himself.

Well just recently I had another joyous experience in Northrend on my low level toon. I had been testing out the fast leveling exploit at Valgaarde while as Horde and after getting destroyed by the NPCs I took rez sickness and hearthed. I teleported about 100 yards above this location:




So I decided to swim towards the edge and lo and behold I was AT the edge of the map. Interesting note for people who could potentially find this information useful (dunno how you would ever get there but hey!).

I managed to barely reach the edge as I ran out of fatigue and jumped!



Too bad this didn't happen on my main. I could have popped a water walking elixir, jumped on my flying mount, and flew off the edge! Oh well!

all I can think of is when I rented my acc and I was flying inside a mountain with full red durability... dont have pix tho

You cant fly off the end of the world you can only jump off

Btw, back when i first hit 80, i was still way too laggy to go to dalaran for my hearth, so i had always been using shat portals, while at the time they were completely bugged.. so was my hearth.. every time i used hearth or a portal i had to pray that it wouldnt send me right outside shadowprey village in desolace

you can't jump off the real edge of a map or else you just get stuck unable to do anything because it says you are falling, so you have to face an awkward conversation with a GM...

I believe that only happens in some maps (I know Alterac Valley had an edge you could not jump off of).

Previous this was the case for the edge of Kalimdor that was so easily reached. In 3.0 though they patched it so there is no longer a walkable edge there and you can jump off the side. As seen in my pictures you in fact do not get stuck.

That seems weird though that you can't fly off but you can jump off? How does that work? And for the person asking what happens when you jump off you just fall for a while and then die. When you release (as Horde) you get sent to the barrens graveyard.

i had a few weird things happen before when i hearth somewhere i would just end up falling ages and this was just last week lol

Back in Vanilla WoW a friend of mine and I were fooling around with our rogue alts, and so we decided to see how far we could swim out into the great sea, north east of Tirisfal. When we died, and released, we were surprised to see the kalimdor loading screen. We appeared as ghosts in the barrens, quite confused.

I have also crashed to the desktop while in STV and upon logging back in, I appeared falling underneath Stonetalon mountains repeatedly. A GM had to return me to the Orgrimmar graveyard.

The barrens is a default place to be sent to when for some reason you die in a really weird location. Most easy way to repeat this is to fly off of northrend until you die from fatigue. You'll rez in the barrens.

When the guy disconnected in Borean and landed in Ashenvale was in a glitch known as "Otherworld" the zones of wow are in planes like X,Y.and Z and they are stacked on top of each other. When you take a boat or zep you get saved to these zones pretty much and when you DC you fall through the plane to the one you were just in but only your screen changes.So your still in Northrend but on your screen your in Ashenvale and you can fly to places such as Hyjal its one of the best glitches in WoW tbh The Order of the Hidden Eye is a glitching community which has found how to replicate this glitch.
