Its not an Ortell's hideout place, but its still cool none the less. But there is another cave in dun morogh named Oretell's Hideout. I found it and as far as I know, you need rocket boots and slowfall to get there.

This was discovered like one week after the game came out which is almost 5 years ago, so ya a bit late there....

The reason people tend to say it is Ortell's hideout (Hermit Ortell - NPC - World of Warcraft)
Is because this cave was used as a prefunctioning model for the cave Hermit Ortell is in, he didnt get removed when he was added in the first place and therefore persisted in the dun morogh. Upon entering the Dun Morogh version players would enter the silithus general chat.
So no, its not his hideout, but theres logic behind thinking so.

I remember this cave from waaay back

At some point, back before TBC, it used to say that you entered silithus when entering this cave.

I thought like, everyone that ever went to IF airport knew this. It's just a slight turn off of the path to top of IF if I'm not mistaken.
