The Emerald Dream terrain files (the .adt files) have been in the WoW files for a long, long time. That doesn't mean it's accessible (with out swapping file) on live servers.

Ya. ED is just an instance thats to be released, my personal guess is that northrend will be the next outlands, hosting the new raid featuring arthas when that patch comes out after the release of this expansion pack, and then ED will just be possibly another questing ground or just an instance, though i see it to be a bit too big for just an instance, and then if it is a questing grounds there will possibly be another tele in THERE to the Verdant Fields and that will be an instance. and all this will be probly released in the next expansion pack. its really easy to understand people, just open up ur mind and think bout it cuz blizz is playin it same way as TBC
