LOTR Reference...

In Icecrown there a quest in Icecrown called It's All Fun and Games. It has you destroy the Occulus. Basically the Lich King watches all over Icecrown just like the Eye of Sauron watching over everything....this is the Eye of the Lich King.

Meh i tried. i just noticed it as i was flying around completing the quest. Fail indeed, i just never read the comments on wowhead. No biggie *sighs*

It took a while before anyone noticed this was a LoTR reference on wowhead.

If you didnt notice, pretty much all of WoW is based on LOTR'

LOTR have taken the things in it from something else who have taken those things from something else that has taken that from something else yeah well i can go on for ever. So WoW Has ofc taken things from other storys like elves and orc's they dident come up with that on theire own nor did LOTR so no WoW aint based on LOTR.

Another reference to LOTR is the wall in front of icecrown which refer to the black gates of mordor

There are many LOTR 'references' in WoW simply because they're fantasy stories.

There are many other fantasy stories in which some evil being has a huge 'eye' like that.
