Well, this basically works with every targeting AoE-Spell.
It doesn't work anywhere, though.
You have to be somewhere you can look beyond, like a Zeppelin-Tower.

Very nice. I do this all the time with volley actually. The reason why it does this is because it thinks what you are targetting is only really that small. Try doing it on a lamp or some object with a small surface area. You will probably get the same result.
