So a couple of days ago i was going to WC with my friends. as i most definately am lazy i asked to get summoned. when they summoned me i disconnected and when i logged back in i appeared in Arathi highlands where the farm is with the orcs. but to my surprise there were no NPC's only nothingness and as i looked up at the sky i could see gazelles and tigers and all the wondrous creatures of the Barrens. as i am a explorer (might not be a good one but i am) i checked out the entire map just for the hell of of. i even went swimming and the fun thing is when you go swimming there you have no breath nor fatique.

so i came to the conclusion that blizzard have just put kalimdor above northern kingdoms.

and i was wondering if this has happened to others. if there is somehow i can get there again and/or if there's some more interesting things about this.

Confirmed. Several months back on my troll. Was switched from Duskwood to Silithus.
Swam with no fatigue, went off the edge of the map properly and fatal'd.

Your client simply loaded the wrong map files but you are still in barrens so you see all the mobs there, this has happend countless times and it seems like there will always be an endless stream with those posts ^^ No offence though.

Happened exactly the same with me before.

Disconnected in The Barrens, and i logged back in, with the Arathi Highlands map data loaded.

Raptors, Gazelles and all sorts were above me.

Pretty old bug.

A long time ago this was used pretty frequently, when you d/c at specific places and log in again the client loads another map.
This may have changed though, probably has, as I haven't seen this posted the last year.

i had a similar thing happen when i was in ratchet and i fell through the earth and ended up in Arathi Highlands, with all the mobs, they all died from the fall too, it was hillarious

Happens because of the map layouts Blizz has to join them together somehow... Most likely map confusion with the co-ords (0 = Eastern Kingdoms, 1= Kalimdor I think), but could be faults with the Z co-ordinates, negative to positive etc.
