    Blade Flurry trick

The sisters of pain thread inspired me to confirm something i thought i observed a while back...the secondary target of your blade flurry attacks does NOT get a chance to dodge the attacks. this is pretty useful in pvp against rogues who pop evasion provided you have a secondary target to attack(if the enemy rogue is attacking you, in theory he'll follow you while you follow his partner)

probably wont get much use in arena(especially since you'll probably be shadowstep) as you likely wont be another rogues target...but in BGs and world pvp its something to keep in mind when u see that evasion come up, since blade flurry and evasion last the same duration you've made his 5 minute cooldown effectively useless with a 2 minute cooldown.

I havent confirmed if the attacks are block/parry-able but im willing to bet they arent able to be prevented as long as your primary target doesnt prevent the attack himself. but yeah, nothing ground-breaking, just an occasionally useful trick.

It is a useful trick. And to add something to it, has worked for me in the past though i havent played in a while, but blade flurry also ignores armor on the secondary target. For example, lets say you are fighting a warrior or pally, and suffering from massive damage reduction. If you can get them next to a clothie, pop blade flurry, and start main attacking the cothie, the plate wearer will suffer the same damage as the clothie. Just a little trick for some bg fun, and possibly against some dumb arena teams.

I'm 95% sure that is not correct. I can specifically recall many times where I have been attacking a target, popped Blade Flurry and then done a 5pt Eviscerate and had it hit for different amounts on different armored targets.

I don't know 100% if it was because of armor mitigation or some other factor, that's why I say only 95% sure

Anyways, if anyone has hard evidence to prove me wrong, please do. I like to learn as much about how everything works so I can learn the tricks before someone else does, posts them here, and gets them fixed

Yes, but has the secondary target ever dodged?

Would be cool if this worked with sweeping strikes

heh that was the whole point of the thread, the 2nd target cant dodge. and ive heard it works with sweeping strikes but i cant confirm officially.

Edit:I've personally seen the secondary target of BF be hit for less than the primary target due to what i can only attribute to armor mitigation.

    Target A is a priest.
    Target b is a warrior.
Your eviscerate crits target A for 3000.
    Target b takes 3000 damage.
(lol im a bad combat log)

    That doesnt work anymore.
The armor now comes into play.....not like before
It was in one of the patch notes.
    I dont remember.

It definitely ignores dodge/etc checks on the second target. Can test on the Demon Hunter Initiates up in Shadowmoon Valley when they go evasion if you like.

The armor tricked was fixed so long ago it isnt even funny. When was the last time you guys actually used blade flurry?

    Patch 1.10.2 patch notes:

Blade Flurry - The additional attacks generated by this ability will now properly take into account the armor of the second target.
