Another Frost bolt exploit

having several mages, i can assure you, that this works. there are 2 ways to do the shatter combo.

1. Frost Nova, then Blink out. From that range, start casting frostbolt. The moment your frostbolt leaves your hand, press ice lance. The damage is calculated

2. If you have your Water elemental out. Start casting frost bolt, click on the water elementals frost nova, and cast it on your opponent, a second before you cast your frosbolt followed by ice lance. The only thing with this is that you need to start casting frostbolt before your water elemental does, otherwise the waterelemental's bolt will break the frostnova.

It is much easier if you make the second one into a macro. The second is more useful for pvp as it prevents them from breaking out. That combo is a guaranteed 5k crit.

I assumed the first one is pretty fairly well known. The second maybe not.

Sorry, I'll have to defirm this. The extra crit is calculated when you FIRE the frostbolt, not when it hits. Therefore, if when you freeze the mob AFTER you've fired your frostbolt, it wont get the extra critchance.

Soon as you press 'frostbolt' or any other ice spell, or any spell weather its got higher crit chance or not the server has already choosen what dmg your going to do by calculating the Resitance of mob the lvl of mob the defence of mob (Basiclly all stats) then Divided it by all your stats all this is done the moment you hit cast spell bleh, therefore casting another spell before or after will not make any difference to another spell unless in statments of bouns buffs for yourself or negitive debuffs on target.

Ie with the engine running like this you can cast pyroblast then combustion and you Will not crit ! untill next fire spell is casted.

srsly, i press icelance just before frostbolt is finished, guaranteed crit
maybe it has to do with lag or whatever, but i'm sure it works
