You can get banned for virtually anything. However if your midfield and no1 can see you, then it isn't likely that you will get reported for afk.

The reason I have done this from a hunters point of view is that Hunter's Mark has a 200 yard range. This allows you to do this from a further distance whereas for example A priest casting a dot, is like a quatre of the distance.
