Actually this doesn't work - it will only let you set a the camera max distance to a highest of 50.

Curious... They nerfed the config.WTF way to set your stored cameras to various huge distances. Now the cameraDistanceA and such settings are validated at load time and removed if they are greater than 50. The downside is that the text file modified there is the stored value and when you're in-game, if you modify it (Change your camera settings with game controls), it re-stores the new value on logout. I would love to see Blizz un-nerf the config.wtf version so proper pictures and videos can be made again.

you can also do this with opening your config file in:

x:\World of Warcraft - The Burning Crusade\WTF folder

and adjust cameraDistance from there so you dont have to change per char individualy

Excellent idea, however I'm sure this was posted before and someone said it was bannable at the time.

Can anyone confirm (the bannable bit, not re-post =D )

Never heard of setting your camera far away as bannable. It used to be a common thing for photographers and cinematographers in game to do for better shots. The stored camera settings in config.wtf are bounds-checked now, so I was afraid it was completely nerfed. Sadly the preset cameras were the only way to change it live without relogging.

Great info I don't need to use an add-on to make my camera angle further.
