I dont know if anyone has done this yet, just started today, but just lettin everyone know that hunter traps can now be used IN combat without the casting time that wow said they were gonna do......that means no feign death needed.

Sweet +rep
jep, think most huntard noticed this. if not, reroll alliance
Um if you just read the patch notes you could find this out lol but thanks for telling all the lazy ppl![]()
Hunters
Traps can be set while in combat, but require a 2 second arming time.
WTF are you doing while you're patching if you're not looking at the new changes relating to the classes you have...?
>< lemme specify, no casting time, not 2 seconds, not arming time, its instant, instant cast, instant freeze, which means uber pwnage aim shot
there is no arming time, just cast and in freezing trap's case, they freeze, that was my point, blizz didn't get the cast thing right, sorry for not being specificOriginally Posted by Enfeebleness

yes out of combat there is no arming time, but in combat there is. I have tested this quite a bit, because I was working on new strats to kill the 4 demons for the epic bow.
Arming time means that it doesn't activate immediatly when ran over...
As in it won't activate until ran over for 2 seconds...
If you notice, traps don't get activated immediatly...
And i don't know where the heck you came up with the casting time on a trap, traps are still instant unless you're being dumb and looking at the animation placing the trap taking 2 seconds because you stand still when you set your traps...
then it may be an exploit because while OUT of combat when I set a trap, before I talked to one of the demons, he tripped it IMMEDIATLY. I was doing this kind of stuff since I made 60 to help low lvls in instances. I would run up to two mobs and drop a trap on one and freeze it while I killed the other one. The patch was SUPPOSED to make it that ALL traps take 2 sec to arm. But that is not the case. If I had a vid capture program I would show you what the hell I mean. but just trust me in saying that while out of combat traps are instant and while in combat they take 2 sec to arm. Maybe this is what Blizzard intended anyway and it is a mute issue.
Edited because i revisited the page re-read it and now i know where you were going with that, in which i would have to check :P

>< they dont have arm time, when I'm fighting a rogue, I placed and immediatly he froze, so unless the whole game lagged for exactly two seconds, theres somethin wrong with the traps ARM(happy?) time
the same goes for fighting multiple mobs when I placed an explosive trap, instant fire, sooooo there ya go

I've tested this as well, and in every case out of me actually caring to even do it (trust me, i seriously don't care enough to go on my hunter and do extensive research as you have) but the trap has never been activated immediatly..
my hunter's my main, = / pvper, you notice it a lot lol
Happiness is like peeing in your pants.....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.![]()
My hunter's leeroy jenkins + santa + Cliffy B (he owns so much he gets put in other companies games) + the easter bunny + 12 years of free WoW + immunity from being banned all in one.Originally Posted by Zacharisjosepi

guys guys... you aredead wrong... the trap do not require any "castingtime" which meens u put them down instantly... BUT, and heres the sad part...
the armingtime applies when it hits the ground.. try it out with a friend....
duel let him stand infrom of u and put down a trap.. it takes 2 seconds for the trap to get activated and him fozen immolated or whatever... this is the sad truth
