    Keep stables capped by yourself

When I did this I wasn't able to fully grasp what I have done until I noticed that you could attack horde and los with the roof of the stables....

Now I wasn't able to screen shot me doing this to horde (i was getting cocky and then fell off :*( ) but me being up there got me thinking....

If you could attack horde from up there and los any range that try to kill you, you could in theory keep the stables capped by yourself for as long as you like! Think about it... as long as you can attack multiple targets for any kind of damage they won't be able to cap the flag. Since I'm a rogue I can only use my throwing weapon, an occasional

Goblin Rocket Launcher - Items - World of Warcraft

However, if your a mage, any type of range dps, you will be able to keep the stables capped all by yourself. The only class that I can think of having trouble would be a paladin, seeing as how holyshock has a fairly long cd. And if theres multiple horde, you'd be screwed.

Mages can rank 1 blizz if theres 3 or more horde and los

    Warlocks can dot

    Priests can wand/mb/dot

    Hunters can volley

    You get the idea

    Here the pics

ontopofstables.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

stables12.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

stables2.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Here's how I got up there

WoWScrnShot_121907_171815.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Use the rocket boots extreme Rocket Boots Xtreme - Items - World of Warcraft

and the parachute cloak (you can use the skyguard cape as well) Parachute Cloak - Items - World of Warcraft

Now while running in the direction of the stables click or make a macro that clicks both of these at the same time run foward then jump.

The alli starting area being at a higher elevation than the stables will let you slow fall down on top of the stables.

I give credit to this poster for showing how to do it without the use of engineering. However, if you only get on the roof below the one I'm on you will be very killable by any horde because you are not high enough to get an angle on them and los by moving towards the back part of the roof.

It may be possible to get ontop of the upper roof without the boots and cloak.

Firstly, I think this is a repost, heard it somewhere else but hell if I know where.

And by far the worst class has to be warriors, (such as myself).

I do have a gun and I do have engineering so maybe I'll try this out.

    Very nice guide.
I probably won't have engineering that high up for a while.
When I do though I will try this.

For the record, mage's blizzard, warlocks DoTs, or ANY DoTs really, will not stop a flag cap. But, this is still very usefull for ranged engineers, +rep

I already gave credit to that thread and its maker for showing how to get ontop of the stables through a different method, however to be able to do what I did you need to get on the upper roof, which this video does not show

It works. Shadowpriest with 5/5 Imp MB, if the guy just tries again and again, just wanded. Was playing a pre-made and my teammates were laughing at first when I told them I'll hold Sta by myself, turned out I really did it. Only had to ask for help when three people started to cap at the same time, I put my Shadowfiend on one, MB one and started wanding the other and kept them busy till my team came and proceeded to pwn them.
